Worship was led by three of our juniors, an update of Home at The Park was shared and a special item or two by Prince and Linda. Thank you to the residents and visitors at Rossmoyne, we look forward to our next visit.

12.01.2022 "HOME AT THE PARK" THROUGH COVID-19 While the Government and community health restrictions have hindered the ability for our usual teams to serve at "Home at t...he Park" being our ADRA Community Assistance Program in the City of Stirling, we have managed to form a temporary ‘COVID Team’ which still allows us to serve a growing need in our local community. Our "Home at The Park" program has suspend the One Voice showers and Orange Sky laundry facilities and converted the sit down meal service to takeaway only, however our reach has actually increased over the last few weeks, seeing us share fresh hot meals with more community members than ever. Thank you to North Perth Seventh-day Adventist Church who have donated tailored hygiene packs to further bless the community with a real need in the current situation. We have a steady number of regular guests that are still benefiting from the takeaway meal option, and have included a new delivery service to areas in the community where many people are in need. Although Covid-19 has brought many challenges, it has also provided spaces for new opportunities for us to share Jesus’ love in our community. 10.01.2022 23 weeks of service at Home at the Park so far, with guest attendance growing each week. We have head over 400 hot meals served, representing over 400 valuable ...conversations. Over 100 free loads of laundry washed, dried and folded, nearly 50 free hot showers provided, 2 birthday celebrations and 1 wedding anniversary, along with special Christmas, Australia Day and Valentine's themed services. Thank you volunteers and guests for making Home at the Park a safe, loving, HOMELY environment for all who can use a little love and care.

08.01.2022 #GodInASleepingBag The North Perth Seventh-day Adventist Church newsletter recently published a need for sleeping bags for the homeless program - The Home at t...he Park. After reading this, Lois and I made a commitment to put aside a few dollars each week and save for 3 sleeping bags. A few weeks later, with savings in hand, we went to an Anaconda store near our home. A young female assistant approached us and we asked her about sleeping bags that I had seen on the Anaconda website priced at $25, she informed us they were sold out! Sold out, were not the words we wanted to hear! The sales assistant noticed our disappointment and directed us to another sleeping bag sale, but with a cost of $36 each this was way over our budget! Our hearts dropped, we couldn’t help the homeless program! We turned to walk away but stopped. Suddenly, we felt a strong conviction to tell this young lady about The Home at the Park program, where meals were provided, showers offered and even clothes washed. She was impressed! In her moment of impression, the young lady requested for us to wait and she would be back in a few minutes. Lois and I expected her to return with a discount in hand but instead she returned with a $36 sleeping bag, and a pair of scissors! She proceeded to cut off the price tag and asked how many did you say . She handed us 3 sleeping bags and the words free of charge. We stood in utter amazement and gratitude! With 3 sleeping bags , sleeping bag savings and a song of gratitude in our hearts we headed to "The Home at the Park" program and handed out not only the sleeping bags but also the cash. -Kevin and Lois Terry
