25.01.2022 We were stoked to share a planting activity last Saturday with 20 Intrepid Landcare youngsters. Twelve advanced eucalypts and over 100 shrubs, sedges and grasses were planted and guarded in a challenging steep section of Warrandyte State Park. A great afternoon's work made easier by such great support. Thanks Nullimbik and Intrepid Landcare!! For the two weeks prior to this event, we held 6 weeding sessions and removed 20 chaff bags of weed from the site. We will continue to... work each week at various sites on Osborne Peninsula and would love you to join us. The sessions will be held on Thursday mornings from 10-12 and the meeting place will be posted on this Facebook page the day before. Next Thursday 20th May we will plant on the roadside opposite the driveway of 21 Osborne Road- that is our meeting place. Please join us if you can- wear gloves and suitable shoes and tools are provided. If you are working from home, why not take a break and join in, you don't have to stay for the entire 2 hours. 05.01.2022 Our small Thursday activity group will again be planting on the roadside verge opposite 21 Osborne Road tomorrow morning. This area was badly damaged by NBN contractors during the rollout of the NBN. Last Thursday we managed to weed and plant the corner and tomorrow we will extend that area. Come join us for a morning of chatter, laughter and of course working on country! Meet at the site at 10am and bring your own gloves and drink. We will provide the tools. Enquires to Ruth 0418 333 494
