19.01.2022 Who wants to get MESSY??? Come along to playgroup tomorrow for tons of super fun messy mud play activities! Please make sure you wear old clothes and bring a spare set to change into afterwards, don't forget a hat and sunscreen! Playgroup runs from 9-11am, is open to all families and is FREE to attend. 19.01.2022 Hi camp parents, just an update on arrival time, we will be getting back to school at around 4:30, we were able to get an earlier ferry so will be back a little earlier than expected. See you all soon!

19.01.2022 We had a blast in Bowen today! We built sandcastles at Greys Bay, ate yummy fish and chips, played at the water park and had ice-cream on the way home! What a fabulous reward for achieving over 95% attendance in the past month! A huge thank you to Burdekin School for allowing us to borrow your buses today! Have a fantastic break everyone

16.01.2022 Magnificent Magnetic Games - this afternoon we put all our knowledge together to design, create, build and play games using magnets!

15.01.2022 REMINDER - for all our parents and carers, a gentle reminder that all children should be dropped off and picked up in the school drop-off zone located inside the school grounds near the senior playground NOT on Osborne Road. This is to ensure the children safe during these times. We realise that the carpark can be a bit dusty, however it is the safest place for our kids. Thank-you



14.01.2022 This morning our Senior boys visited our friends at C&K Kindy for buddy reading. COVID restrictions have meant that we haven't been able to visit for a while so it was wonderful to see all our kindy friends again. A huge thanks to Miss Sue and Miss Jodie for allowing us to come and visit today!

09.01.2022 Magnetic Island Camp - final day! Today we built catapults and played team building games before saying goodbye to Magnetic Island. We had so much fun with our friends from Clare SS, Millaroo SS and Jarvisfield SS - we can't wait to go on camp again next year! We would like to say a huge thanks to Mr Patti from Clare for all his hard work in organising this camp and to all the teachers and teacher aides who looked after us while we were away - well done everyone! #smallschoolbigheart #magneticisland

05.01.2022 On Friday, we had a fabulous visit from the Home Hill Fire Brigade! They spoke to the playgroup and our P-2 class about fire safety and what to do in an emergency - the kids loved the seeing the engine in action! Thank you to the team for coming out to visit us!

02.01.2022 Tomorrow is swimming carnival day! Some reminders for parents and carers: Children will need to be at the Home Hill Pool by 8:50am and be collected by 2:30pm. Children will need to wear their togs underneath their school uniform shirt to the pool, thongs are allowed. Senior students will be allowed to race without shirts on, sun safety rules apply at all other times. Junior students will need a shirt on throughout the day (either their uniform shirt or a swim shirt). ... All parents and friends are welcome to attend and will need to sign-in on arrival. There is no entry fee, the pool canteen will be open and is cash only. This is a COVID safe event. We look forward to seeing you there! See more

01.01.2022 This morning we had our friend Ken join us to teach us about electromagnets. We learned that you can create an electromagnet using an iron bolt, some wire and a battery - very cool!
