This variant of the virus is quicker and more contagious. I hope we can get on top of this outbreak and get back to some normality, please stay safe everyone.

21.01.2022 More than 4.5 million Victorians will receive voting forms in the mail next week from 6 October and the delivery will take place over 3 days with 35% of the packs posted on any 1 day. You will receive a pack containing voting forms, photographs, a reply paid envelope and 300 word statements from candidates but the packs will NOT include candidates how-to-vote cards. Moreland candidate statements for all 3 Wards are here: https://www.vec.vic.gov.au//elections/moreland-city-co...uncil There are 2,187 candidates in Victoria competing for 622 spots on 76 Councils. How much does a Councillor get paid a year? On average $30,000. Elected Councillors are responsible for making decisions with your rates money which are in the hundreds of millions. You will essentially get what you vote for. It’s an INDICTABLE (serious) offence which attracts 5 YEARS IMPRISONMENT OR 600 penalty units If: * Any person interferes with any material being, or to be, sent or delivered to any voter, i.e. anyone takes out ballot papers from letterboxes. * Any person forges the signature of any person on any ballot paper. 21.01.2022 Council is responsible for approximately 75 School Crossing Supervisors on every school day. The primary responsibility of the School Crossing Supervisor is the safety of the children and pedestrians using the crossing. Over the past 4 years Council has spent over $2.9 Million keeping our children, parents, schools and the community safe.

21.01.2022 Thank you for the beautiful words Anjuli. Anjuli Mack

20.01.2022 Thank you James Liotta Entertainer appreciate your ongoing support

20.01.2022 Child care centres offer full-time and part-time care for children aged up to 6 years. Many child care centres also have funded kindergarten programs for 3 and 4 year olds. Council has a Central Registration Service for child care, which is an agreement with a number of child care centres in the North West. I will continue to support funding in this space to enable fair and easy access for families to child care.

18.01.2022 It’s an absolute honour and privilege to be sworn in tonight to serve you for the next 4 years. I thank my family, friends, supporters and voters for the opportunity, I won’t let you down.

15.01.2022 Thank you to my Coburg North Primary School Alumni for the kind words, you too have not changed Johnny.

13.01.2022 I’m excited to be kicking off the Shop Local Series for the next 7 days. By supporting local businesses that are open, you are in turn contributing and helping the local economy by creating more jobs. Even a small business needs enough hands to help sell its products and services, which is why the more we support them, the more jobs will be created and the better off our local communities will be.... West Street Hadfield has a number of open businesses where you can purchase all your necessities.

12.01.2022 Thank you @morelandzebras

09.01.2022 When your number 1 fan Kristoff Colakovski pops in to say congratulations. Thank you to you and your beautiful family Buddy.

07.01.2022 The VEC have declared the Moreland Council results with 11 elected Councillors from 3 Wards. It’s very disappointing and distressing that there was alleged tampering with votes where ballot packs went missing from voter letter boxes and were completed fraudulently. My Ward had the highest voter turnout, with 80.81% (35,417 votes). The VEC received duplicate voter envelopes and noticed signatures and other information did not match. ... Police are continuing their investigation and I urge anyone that has information to please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. It will be disappointing if a decision for a new election for the North West Ward was announced. Some candidates have spent their hard earned money, invested a huge amount of time and energy, engaged countless volunteers/family and the people of the North West don’t deserve the inconvenience. Notwithstanding this, I thank voters for their faith and trust and it will be an absolute honour and privilege to serve this community with, integrity and honesty. https://www.theage.com.au//moreland-council-vote-declared-

05.01.2022 Thank you for the kind words Ses.

03.01.2022 Graffiti is the illegal marking of another person’s property without permission and includes tags and stencils that have been done without the permission of the person who owns the property. Street art is different to graffiti because it’s done with the permission of the property owner and Council. The Victorian Graffiti Prevention Act 2007 outlines a range of graffit related offences. People who are convicted of doing publicly visible graffiti or offensive graffiti on privat...e property without the owner’s consent can be given up to 2 years prison and be fined up to $34,000. The Moreland Graffiti Strategy 2017-2021 outlines Council's strategic direction for managing illegal graffiti. This strategy was developed in response to the increase in illegal graffiti in Moreland and the considerable social and economic costs to the community. If re-elected I will continue supporting initiatives such as FREE graffiti kits and paint vouchers for the efficient removal of graffiti as research shows that the faster graffiti is removed the less likely it is to reoccur.

03.01.2022 This is fantastic news. https://www-nytimes-com.cdn.ampproject.org//biontech-covid

01.01.2022 Thank you Vasili, the truth is I am passionate about the environment because we are living in a world where human impact is a constant threat to our environment and biodiversity. We cannot ignore the figures and year on year we are contributing to increases in greenhouse gas pollution. It’s almost impossible to keep up with the rapidly growing numbers around environmental damage. I will always support initiatives that are in the best interests of our environment and this com...munity. One initiative I’ve been passionate about for over 20 years is the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) and I cannot wait for it to come to Moreland in the next few years.
