However if you want to make sure the computer is safe, get out tested by a technician preferably in his or hers office. Also I would recommend replacing existing power board and power cable that came with the computer despite it working. In general there should be no problems. However when replacing with new computer, you don't want to take any chances.

Just for the record, I had been a victim myself of identity fraud and unfortunately I had to get in contact with the police and even change my driver's license. Now that's all okay, but the hassle is not worth it. Also two things to remember, hang up and don't reply to emails you don't know who it is from or it's got a very out of character subject.
