25.01.2022 Back into training from Tuesday next week! Looking forward to it!

23.01.2022 This time last week we had gradings for green to black belt level. All passed and performed at a high standard. Congratulations on your well-deserved promotions! Marcin’s passing of Provisional 1st dan black belt makes him our 5th member to have made this achievement. Well done! These are a few pics. If there are others please post them:)

20.01.2022 Broke my heart to see this! Shuri Castle, such spiritual meaning for karate enthusiasts and the Okinawan people, as the residence of the last Kings of the Ryukyu Kingdom before Okinawa was annexed by the Satsuma samurai of Kyushu, Japan, in 1609, has been burnt to the ground. I have visited this place at least a dozen times over the years. Brought tears to my eyes when learning of this tragedy. https://www.abc.net.au//shuri-castle-in-japan-all/11657502

19.01.2022 ...and congrats to those at Bertram dojo who have been promoted!

15.01.2022 Hello all! I’ve just returned from a great trip to Japan. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to train in Okinawa but did meet with our Grand Master Nakazato and Nakamura Shihan to catch up and discuss a few points of interest. Hopefully a training trip to Okinawa will be on the cards next year!... Many thanks to Daniel & Marcin for holding the fort while I was away! Term 3 training will start from Tuesday 24th July at the same locations & times. Members please read the forthcoming text messages for special offers. See you soon! Oss!

12.01.2022 Congrats to Tyler & Ethan who passed their 3rd kyu brown belt white stripe belts last week. Will officially award them on return to training. Looking forward to term 4 training commencing Tuesday 13th October. Enjoy the break!

10.01.2022 Congrats to our recently promoted at Attadale dojo! Well deserved

09.01.2022 Hello OSK members. Due to the Coronavirus and health concerns around close contact, unfortunately in the interests of the safety of all members and their families, relatives and friends, I will have to suspend karate training and gradings as from the end of this week. Classes this week will run, however with students kept at a distance and no partner work or any physical contact.... When it is deemed safe to return to classes, I will arrange options for catch up classes. This may include extended classes, extra classes on an alternative day, or perhaps even a number of Saturday or Sunday classes/workshops. It is regrettable to take this action, however, it is the responsible action to take and in line with so many other sporting/fitness clubs and organizations at present. Hopefully this pandemic will pass soon! Take care. See you in classes this week. Regards, Kurt Regan (Shihan) Chief Instructor/Director/shibuchou

04.01.2022 Hello OSK members. Of course, we now have a 2 week break for school holidays. Congratulations to all who have passed their requirements for belt promotion. (Reuben & Roman absent due to going o/s) Training for term 4 commences on Tuesday 15th October at both Bertram & Attadale dojos. The adults class has moved from Atwell to Attadale. Training times at Attadale are likel...y to stay as is with the adults class 6:45-8:00, however, I will confirm this prior to the end of the school holidays. Green-black belt gradings will be on Sunday 27th October from 9:00am at Atwell College as usual. Have a great break and see you soon! Regards, Kurt Regan (Shihan)

01.01.2022 The world's largest tug of war is held in Okinawa's Naha City every October. This year it has been cancelled due to COVID-19. Looking forward to 2021! https://youtu.be/4S3j5-_ZBak
