25.01.2022 Hello Garlic Lovers Just a quick note to let you know that our garlic is getting close to harvest. A little later than normal this year due to the mild weather. I expect to begin harvesting our Purple Stripe Garlic within the next few weeks and will get to the Rojo Garlic in early December. We like our garlic to cure for a while before starting to sell because the bulbs lose a lot of weight in the first few weeks. So expect garlic to be available for sale in mid December.

24.01.2022 Due to an overwhelming number of questions and requests for 500g Rojo Garlic and 500g Purple Stripe Garlic I have added a "Half and Half" product to our online store (https://osmingtonmill.wixsite.com/garlic/online-store).

19.01.2022 Garlic harvest is done and dusted (and muddied) for another year. Lots of rain during harvest but it appears to have survived the experience. We are a little low on Osmington White and Purple Stripe this year but the wonderful Rojo has done us proud once again. I would not generally advise buying garlic this soon out of the ground but we have had many requests and we will be at the Margaret River Farmers Market this Saturday (22-12-2018) so it is only fair that I inform all ...interested parties. The reason I do not advise buying the garlic this soon after harvest is that the garlic has not had a chance to cure. The skins are not dry, the cloves are hard to peel and have not taken on their final colour and the garlic will lose more than 10% of it's weight over the next few weeks. The garlic still has a great flavour and if stored correctly will cure and achieve all of it's final characteristics. If you are desperate to order some fresh WA Garlic the please visit https://farmhousedirect.com.au/osmingtonmillgarlic or come and see us at the Margaret River Farmers Market.

18.01.2022 Next time you are in Margaret River check out the Margaret River Cracker Company

16.01.2022 Our 2020 garlic harvest has finally started. Currently we have Purple Stripe Garlic spread throughout the shed, drying out after the recent rain, before we can hang it up to cure for a few weeks. I would estimate that we will have Purple Stripe Garlic available for sale in mid December with our Rojo Garlic being available just before Christmas.... If you would like to be added to our mailing list, please go our Contacts page https://osmingtonmill.wixsite.com/garlic/contact

15.01.2022 Well it's getting to the time of year when WA grown garlic will no longer be available. Fortunately Osmington Mill Garlic grew extra Rojo garlic this year and it has a shelf life that keeps it good all year long. If you are interested in buying some locally grown Rojo garlic you can purchase online at Farmhouse Direct (https://farmhousedirect.com.au/osmingtonmillgar/rojo-garlic) or if you are in Margaret River visit us at the Saturday Farmer Market. Please note we will not be at the market ever week so if you are travelling to see us please check first to make sure we will be there.

12.01.2022 OUT OF STOCK Thank you to everyone who has purchased garlic from us. We are completely sold out of all three (3) varieties. Richard has prepared the beds and is just waiting on a little more rain before he starts planting.

10.01.2022 This Saturday (27 April) will be our last visit to the Margaret River Farmers Market for the year as we will be sold out after that. If you're in Margaret River on Saturday morning, come down and say hi.

09.01.2022 Osmington Mill Garlic has started harvesting for 2019. So far things are looking pretty good. Should be available for sale early in December.

06.01.2022 Osmington Mill Garlic 2019 Harvest Our 2019 garlic crop is harvested, has been hanging/curing for a few weeks and is now ready for sale. Purchases may be made online via https://www.farmhousedirect.com.au/osmingtonmillgarlic or you can visit us at the Margaret River Farmers Market on Saturday mornings between 7:30am and 11:30am.... We have three garlic varieties available: Rojo Rojo is a robust flavoured garlic with an extended storage capability, up to 12 months from harvest. This means you will have garlic throughout winter into the next summer. Purple Stripe This is a flavoursome garlic with large easy peeling cloves. Shelf life of 6-7 months from harvest, so you will have garlic into winter. Osmington White Osmington White Garlic(Californian White) is a mild, nutty flavoured garlic. Roast it whole to experience its sweet garlicky flavour. Shelf life of 8 - 9 months, so you will have garlic through to spring. Hoping you've all had a wonderful 2019 and wishing you all the best for 2020.

05.01.2022 SOLD OUT! .... PICK YOUR OWN GARLIC... Harvest as much as you want for only $20. 1472 Osmington Rd, Osmington, WA, 6285 Mostly small Rojo bulbs but there are still a few bigger gems in there! First in, best dressed. Contact the farm on 0484740825 to arrange your #pickyourown

03.01.2022 This years crop is all in and growing nicely now that the rain has started properly. The entire planting area is covered with Weed Gunnel weed mat so my weeding will be minimal. Harvest should take place in November so we should be back at the Margaret River Farmers' Market in early December and will be selling online at https://www.farmhousedirect.com.au/osmingtonmillgarlic as always. Here's looking forward to a bumper crop.

02.01.2022 The Amazing Rojo For those of you who are not familiar with our Rojo Garlic variety I thought I would post a pic of how our last years crop of Rojo is fairing. As you can see, some bulbs have just started to shoot and most cloves have a small shoot forming within the clove but they are still very tasty and completely useable. So for all of you who want WA grown garlic all year round, buy Rojo and store it in a dark, dry spot that does not get too hot.
