23.01.2022 As we edge towards the end of the project I’ll be focusing on installing more completed panels on the posts tomorrow. There will be a session in the cafe as usual 11am-3pm for anyone wanting to give a hand. We have pieces needing to be joined up, pieces install and lots of flowers, pom-poms & tassels to add as finishing touches. I will continue meetings this week - Tuesday 5-8pm and Wed 11am-3pm. I’m sure there will still be still be additions to make! Thanks so much to all who’ve taken part so far. It’s such fun and the response from passers by has been terrific.

19.01.2022 I was nominated by Maryann Devereux to show my art for 5 days to celebrate female artists Day 5- vessel. Freehand machine embroidery thread, wire and seed beads.... Early 2000s Today I nominate Claire Turpin Choosing photos for this challenge has brought into focus how I tend to change direction in my work all the time. Part of me enjoys that freedom and play, but I’m also aware how it would be simpler to stick to one or two - but how to decide which? I love doing it all, but my brain gets scattered! Thinks

07.01.2022 A huge thank you to each and every one of you lovely people who have been a part of the Main St Yarn Bombing over the last two months. We finished today - for now - with a professional photo session from the City of Stirling. Around a dozen of us attached some finishing touches though I still have bits I want to add! I’ll keep you all up to date with photos here on Facebook & watch this space for info about future get togethers and any coverage we get in the papers or onlin...e. Let me know if you’d like to be added to my email list so I can let you know about future sessions. Silly me didn’t take my own photos today, but I’ll be making a good record of everything we have done. We’ve made a really beautiful eye catching highlight to Main St. It’s been such a pleasure meeting you all and I look forward to catching up again in the near future. Happy Yarning! See more
