22.01.2022 The clinic towels were starting to look a little tired so I decided I'm going to donate the old ones to the RSPCA Epping. I was going to donate them to WIRES which assist with the bushfire victims but after some research I found out they require white towels as it makes it easier for carers to identify illnesses and injuries as bodily fluids such as blood are clearly visible on a white towel. 12.01.2022 I have had a few clients cancel this week as I work within a medical clinic and they have been uncomfortable sitting in the waiting area. The clinic has now started phone consults for anyone experiencing symptoms of COVD - 19 including coughing, sneezing, SOB and fever. They are also running phone consults for anyone who may have been in contact with a positive COVD - 19 case. I have also now switched to single use disposable linen and single towel use with thorough sanitisi...ng and hand washing between each client. I am doing my best to care for each and every client. Please reschedule if : You are feeling unwell Have recently travelled overseas (Recommendation is to self isolate for 14 days post travel) Have been in * Close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVD - 19 (contact me for more information regarding close contact vs minor contact)... I am doing my best to uptake the best hygiene practices by : Washing my hands between each client Changing/washing towels in hot soapy water Sanitising between client and using face shields on the bed (as per usual practice anyway). Hand sanitizer is at the front desk please use it as you walk into the clinic or alternatively we have sinks for people to wash their hands. 04.01.2022 COVID - 19 UPDATE - STAGE 4 RESTRICTIONS!! Due to stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne some circumstances have changed with treatment. The DHHS have informed us today that patients are only allowed to attend face to face consults during stage 4 with a referral from your doctor. ... My understanding is this can be a written GP letter or an EPC plan which some clients may already have (I am awaiting further clarification on this). The DHHS have also informed us that face to face consults must be deemed urgent. If you are unsure if your appointment is urgent please contact me and we can have a discussion about this. I will be setting up telehealth for any clients that still want some advice or need some help through stage 4 but cannot attend for a face to face consult. If you have an appointment in the next 6 weeks I will be in touch to discuss your options. For now here is a picture of a person stretching in full PPE. Probably not super comfortable to do in PPE but do ensure you continue stretching and exercising daily and of course BREATHE! This will be over eventually. I am still treating face to face but there is strict criteria and guidelines I must follow in order to treat any clients. If you feel you are in need of a treatment please contact me and I will call and screen you to see if I can see you.
