19.01.2022 Knee pain can be caused by a range of factors and can be painful and debilitating. Some people worry that their knee pain will result in the need for surgery. O...ften this is not the case. Knee trauma is common from falls and collisions however most knee pain is due to altered muscle mechanics, often involving the kneecap. Osteopaths will determine the cause of your knee pain and most importantly help you correct the mechanics of your knee and other joints so that you can move around with confidence and comfort. If need be, your osteopath will refer you for further medical assessment. Learn more - http://www.osteopathy.org.au/pages/knee-pain.html

10.01.2022 At Cameron St Osteopathy we encourage a commonsense aproach to those lifestyle choices to keep you healthy & well! 10.01.2022 Osteopathy Australia Generally the term Chronic means that a condition has been hanging around longer than three months. (Arbitrary yes, but diagnostically useful most of the time). Acute pain means that its new.... Usually pain is there for a reason. Something sharp grazes your leg, and that part of your skin sends a message to your brain saying Hey, what does this mean? I think its sharp, what should we do about it? Your brain then compares that sensation to previous experience. If youve injured yourself before after grazing against a sharp fence, your brain recognises the similar sensation and sends a message back down to your leg saying: Danger! Move the leg away to prevent injury!. How does it do this? By making something hurt. So technically, pain doesnt exist until your brain interprets the messages coming into it as dangerous or not dangerous, and decides whether to make it painful or not.
