17.01.2022 Building on our prevention theme- Cancer screening rates are worryingly low since the arrival of COVID-19. Research from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare showed there was a 30% drop in mammograms nationally from January to June, while cervical cancer screening rates fell 45% during the same period. Bowel screening rates were also down over that time, with 145,000 fewer tests completed, compared to the same time last year.... When it comes to health, prevention is better than cure. Reschedule that health check you’ve missed or have been putting off.

About 11% of men & 27% of women aged 60 years or more are osteoporotic, & 42% of men & 51% of women have low bone density (osteopenia).... .
