25.01.2022 We are EXTREMELY grateful to our fellow associations; New South Wales Stoma (NSL), Ostomy Association of Melbourne (OML) and Queensland Stoma Association (QSA) plus the Australian Council of Stoma Associations (ACSA) who have been assisting our members with orders while we continue to rebuild and come back up to full capacity following the recent fire.

20.01.2022 Our team of staff and volunteers continue to make great progress following the fire in early May and we are on the path to normal operations. We sent an update to all members with a registered email address on the 4th of June and have started sending our letters via Australia Post in the last week. If you or someone you care for hasn’t registered their email address with us, why not let us know now.... 15.01.2022 Thank you to all our members for your support these past few weeks. We have been humbled and appreciate the high level of praise we have received for our efforts during COVID-19. There is still a long way to go following the 3rd May fire at our premises; we anticipate resuming more regular processing, pick, pack and dispatch of your orders throughout June.

09.01.2022 An article in the Sydney Morning Herald over the weekend is a great reminder to our Members that due to the ongoing CovID-19 pandemic to please allow extra time for Australia Post to deliver - approximately 10-12 working days in total. ONL sends parcels with e-tracking, a great way to receive real time updates from Australia Post once your order has been dispatched. 06.01.2022 We have been amazed by the overwhelming support we have received throughout our journey back to normal operations. We would like to give special thanks to our members for your kind messages. We’d also like to extend our appreciation to our hard-working volunteers and for the support we received from NSW Stoma, Ostomy Association of Melbourne and Queensland Stoma throughout these recent challenges. We would especially like to thank the members who have made donations to assis...t in our recovery. This has been crucial in allowing us to return to and maintain such high levels of support. A recap of the events that occurred On 3rd May 2020, our original Ostomy headquarters building in Kirrawee was severely damaged by a fire that spread from a neighbouring office. In response to this devastating event, our volunteers and staff implemented a business continuity plan, recruiting the support of our partner associations to ensure any disruptions to our members would be kept at a minimum. As part of the business continuity plan, all available resources were dedicated to setting up a new building to continue our operations. In order to minimise any disruptions to our members, ONL volunteers and staff worked tirelessly to achieve this in an incredibly short timeframe. We’re (almost) back to normal operations We are pleased to announce that due to a very rapid response from our management, board, staff and volunteers, we’re back to operating at full capacity. Our member dispatches are no longer being supported by our partner associations, and all orders are being fulfilled by Ostomy NSW, out of our temporary premises. Additionally, now that most of our backlog of orders has been cleared and our existing members' orders are returning to normal, we have started welcoming new members again. Delivery timeframes Please allow an extra 3-5 working days for delivery on orders. (This includes delays due to COVID-19). Order process Now that our order processing has returned to normal capacity, all member orders are being processed by ONL. We would like to request that members continue to place orders via our website or by sending us an email containing your member name and number, the product brand and code and the quantity you are ordering. Pick-up not yet available Your safety remains our top priority. Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated restrictions, pick-up orders are not yet available. 05.01.2022 Today is Ostomy Awareness Day! Ostomy Awareness Day began in 2010 to spread the facts about life-saving ostomy surgery and stop stigmas. Since 1958 Ostomy NSW (ONL) has been dedicated to providing support and assistance to our members, ensuring they have continued access to appliances on the Stoma Appliance Scheme.... As a not-for-profit company, ONL is reliant on the support of members, friends, volunteers and a small very dedicated workforce.

04.01.2022 We would like to thank you for your continued understanding and support through these challenging times. Recent building fire You may have heard the recent news that our original building has been severely damaged by fire. Thankfully, this turn of events will not prevent our members from receiving the supplies and level of care they rely on. ... Our new ‘temporary’ headquarters We’re proud to announce that our new headquarters are operational and currently dispatching as many orders as possible. Any overflow orders are being sent via other associations around the country. It’s important to understand that the Stoma Appliance Scheme is complex and requires validation from ONL before another association can supply your appliances. All orders and enquiries should be directed to ONL in the first instance. Having now settled into our new premises, we would like to reassure you that your ONL Board, staff and volunteers are working tirelessly to minimise any disruption the recent events may be causing you. Delivery timeframes Please allow an extra 7-10 working days for delivery on orders. (This includes delays due to COVID-19). Pick-up not yet available We have not yet opened our pick-up facility, as we are still operating under safer COVID-19 guidelines and limiting face to face contact. This includes our volunteers who are encouraged to remain at home, when they would usually assist us. Even though restrictions have been easing, the health advice for seniors, in particular, remains the same, and that is to stay at home and avoid non-essential travel as much as possible. What to expect over the coming months ONL’s Board, staff and volunteers recognise that every single ONL member has an emotional interest in the continued success of the association. We understand our members rely on prompt service and our team has developed a plan on how we can continue to deliver the high level of service you have come to expect. On the path to normal operations As we continue our journey back to normal operations, dispatching your orders rapidly is our top priority. In order to achieve this however, we need your help! To assist us, we would like to encourage you to place your orders online through the ONL website or by sending us an email containing your member number, the product brand and code and the quantity you are ordering. In addition to this, we request that calls to the association be limited to urgent enquiries only for the period of May to early June. This will allow us the opportunity to best utilise our resources towards fulfilling orders.
