25.01.2022 Works carried out on a mine ventilation shaft to a depth of 150 metres, by O'Sullivan Civil Contractors in Woodlawn NSW. The vertical blast holes were drilled by our micro rig, and then blasted and excavated. This was followed by lining the mine shaft with shotcrete and horizontal hand-drilled 9 metre rock bolts, to stabilise the shaft. The drilling, blasting, shotcrete and rock bolts was then repeated every 2 metres. All works were completed successfully and most importantly... safely. Well done to our specialist team! 14.01.2022 O’Sullivan Civil Contractors recently completed piling works in a former brick quarry infill on Sydney’s lower North Shore, now repurposed as a factory. The infill presented challenging ground conditions, and the factory was fully operational when the piling works took place. There was restricted height and tight access for the low headroom drill rig, and a number of permanent cased piles were installed, down to 9 metres deep. 10.01.2022 Stabilising a degrading seawall this week, in sunny south Sydney. The team at O'Sullivan Civil Contractors installed permanent anchors along the seawall, to a depth of 12m. As there was no land access, the anchors had to be drilled and installed from a barge. 05.01.2022 O'Sullivan Civil Contractors stabilised a sandstone rock face next to a Pyrmont property development recently. Drillers experienced in abseiling and working in tight spaces, abseiled down the cliff face, and scaled/removed loose and fractured rock and soil from the rock face. They hand drilled and installed rock bolts from a height of up to 20 metres. The rock bolts were up to 4 metres long hot-dipped galvanised N24 bar, and then grouted.
