25.01.2022 Flying into Hobart today for the conference? Getting to the city from Hobart airport will cost about $50 by taxi. United taxis 133 222 or Taxi combined 132227 An Uber trip could cost from $31 dollars (approximately). Alternatively, you can take the Skybus shuttle bus and can either purchase your Hobart express ticket when you arrive or before hand. Tickets are $18.50 one way or $36 return. The bus runs every 30 minutes. Skybus website: www.skybus.com.au

14.01.2022 Today we would like to showcase a thought provoking keynote speaker at the 2019 OSWANZ Conference Professor Michael Ashby. Michael is a Consultant Physician in Palliative Care and Pain Medicine, and presently Clinical Director of the Cancer, Chronic Disease & Sub-Acute Care Stream in the Tasmanian Health Service (THS), based at the Royal Hobart Hospital. He holds a conjoint position as Professor of Medical Ethics and Death Studies, School of Medicine, University of Tasmania.... He is a member of the International Working Group on Death Dying and Bereavement (IWG), and former Vice-President and currently a director and board member of the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement (ACGB). He has research interests in law, ethics and the humanities as they apply to palliative care and decision-making at the end of life, and is currently working on the interface between psychodynamics and death and dying, grief and loss.

04.01.2022 On behalf of the 2019 Conference Committee, we are very excited to offer you this year’s OSWANZ Conference program. We are sure that you will find many opportunities to be challenged and inspired. You will also receive a hard copy of the program in your conference bag. However, we are sharing an advanced electronic copy to get you started on planning your days. We are pleased to offer a wide range of workshops over the duration of the conference. Please note that workshops o...n Thursday and Friday are capped at 30 participates each. You will have a chance to register for your preferred workshop during the registration period each day. We look forward to seeing you there!
