This event is looking at The National Injury Insurance Scheme, Queensland (NIISQ) which is a no-fault scheme that provides necessary and reasonable lifetime treatment, care and support to those who sustain eligible serious personal injuries in a motor vehicle accident in Queensland, on or after 1 July 2016. The event provides the opportunity for attendees to connect face-to-face in Brisbane over a light breakfast and panel presentation. 21.01.2022 The new Allied Health Group Therapy program for residential aged care facilities (RACF) is a temporary measure to improve physical functioning of RACF residents at risk of deconditioning due to COVID-19 lockdowns. PHNs will be tasked with undertaking a commissioning process to engage allied health providers to deliver these programs. 06.01.2022 As part of the 2020/21 Federal Budget, funding of $100.8 million will provide up to 10 additional psychological therapy sessions each calendar year under the Better Access Initiative. 03.01.2022 Victorian OTs: Further to yesterday’s update, Victoria’s ‘Guide to conventional use of PPE’ has been updated. In particular, eye protection is no longer required for Tier 1 PPE (routine care of COVID-19 negative patients). The updated guide will be available on the DHHS website soon.
