16.01.2022 MANSCAPED Ballsy Predictions - FINALS WEEK 1 Byron Throughout the week, I've become more and more sold on a big upset in Finals Week 1!... So for this weeks Ballsy Prediction, I'm putting my faith in the Parramatta Eels to overcome the Melbourne Storm. Bellamy's men are deserved heavy favourites, with Parramatta's up-and-down form in the final stages of the season leaving a lot to be desired. And yes, the bookmakers rarely get it wrong, but I believe the impact of the returning Dylan Brown is being underestimated. I've also got Paulo and RCG winning the early exchanges against Bromwich and Welch, and I've earmarked Gutherson as the man to capitilise. King Gutho set the record for run metres (369) in a single game against the Dragons in August, and whilst I'm not tipping him to reach these heights again this weekend, he certainly has the fitness to have himself in all the right positions to capitalise on any (vital) second phase play the Eels can generate. Eels by 4 Gutherson for over 250 run metres, 2 Try Assists & 78 #NRLFantasy points. Liam I'm keeping it simple here and backing the Green Machine for the biggest win of Week 1. After proving too much for the Sharks just last week with almost all of their stars watching from the sidelines, a fresh, full-strength Raiders team should be far too much for Cronulla to propel. 10.01.2022 MANSCAPED Ballsy Predictions - Round 19 Byron The Roosters put 30 points on the Knights in Round 18, and I'm tipping a big bounce-back this week.... When looking at my ballsy predictions, I try to combine form and fixture wherever possible. Using this as a guideline, I've settled on Kalyn Ponga as my breakout candidate, and I'm tipping him for over 100 #NRLFantasy points this week. Ponga is coming off a 108 point performance against the Sharks, and his last three performances against the Dragons are very encouraging with scores of 61, 87 and 63. Throw in the fact he's well-rested and the big occasion of "Old Boys Day", and I'm all in on Kalyn Ponga. Liam Harry Grant lines-up against the Melbourne Storm this weekend, and given he'll return to the side at the conclusion of his loan swap deal - it's safe to say he’s got a big point to prove! With Liddle dropped from the interchange, I'm backing Grant to bounce back to big minutes in the number 9 jersey where I believe he is much more effective compared to his Hooker and Lock rotation. This has influenced my decision to bring him in my team this week, and he's a very real captaincy consideration for me. The obvious focus will be the match-up between the master and the apprentice, but I forsee the apprentice coming away with the #NRLFantasy choccies this week. Lock me in for a try and 75 or more NRL Fantasy points for Grant.
