20.01.2022 People often ask how and why we got to where we are, so i thought ide share our story. Starting out locally in Aireys inlet, environmental management practices such as pest plant and animal management for Parks Vic, large scale revegetation programs and management with Conservation Volunteers Australia in N.S.W. and the N.T it was time to get back to the books and complete a Bachelor in Environmental Science (Coastal Marine) at Souther Cross University. Carpentry was the next... stage, plying me with skills that are continually used today on sites. Working on farms, volunteering, and many other courses kept our skills and knowledge growing until the move to W. A. to work as a costal marine facilitator/manager for South West Catchments Council. Otway Environmental has evolved through all the above skills and knowledge and we take a holistic process to all our work. Working with farmers, Biodynamic farmers, Government Departments, volunteer organisations and within viticulture where chemical is prohibited, environmentally sensitive areas along water ways, various EVC’s, food sources and public spaces our Steam Weed management practices as well as physical removal and other practices ensure safe management of these and other sensitive sites . Revegetation is applied with best practices and developed to specific sites, be it garden planting, bush regeneration, water way development for ecology or filtration. We create our own biodynamic 500, management plans for farmers and environmental managers and many more services. See more
