23.01.2022 **Attention ALL Dressage competitors** please share this message far and wide Have a read of Rule 1.15.5 - Bridle Numbers. To make things easy - it means that b...ridle numbers must be ON your horse at any EA event - not just when competing.... so as requested by OCs, stewards, TDs and our many volunteers at competitions recently, can we all have our bridle numbers on our horses at all times - even when tied to ur transport. I am the first to put my hand up and say that I have not had bridle numbers on whilst tied to the float as they come off with the bridle or saddle cloth however there is an easy solution - just get a bridle number for your halter - it doesnt even need to be a fancy one - it is purely for identification purposes if and when your horse gets loose and we have stewards and volunteers running around trying to catch said loose pony and then trying to find and figure out said owner!! I have now sorted this personally with Saddleworld Dural attaching name plates with bridle numbers permanently to all of the horses halters. This also solves all of my problems at CDI events as well. So go and figure out a simple, cost effective way of attaching your bridle number to your halter and you have found your permanent solution it only needs to be 1 bridle number technically speaking whilst the horses are hanging out, but remember at CDIs it is 2 and for competition it is also 2. Spread the word please!!
