18.01.2022 The Deans Marsh Dog trials commenced early today to beat the heat. Come down for a community dinner at 6.30 pm prepared by local chef Lloyd Phillips and come along for the Saturday dog trails and Sunday finals at the Deans Marsh community oval. It is a fabulous event.

17.01.2022 Sunday 25th March is the Deans Marsh Festival. It is a highlight for our community. Orchestra Manoeuvres in the Marsh is a local choir and percussion run by such a special and valued member in our community Louise Brown. This year Louise has been practicing with many groups for this years Songs of Freedom Concert. On Sunday at 1:30 pm these groups of singers and drummers will come together (a few hundred this year) for the first time and perform with such passion and love. It always works and it is always inspiring. Not to be missed.

15.01.2022 OTWAY ESCAPES LUXURY SPA ACCOMMODATION: Otway Escapes is proud to announce the recent unveiling of its latest Luxury Accommodation for couples, located in Pen...nyroyal, Victoria. The business recently purchased and refurbished a Gleaming Silver 27 1966 Airstream Land Yacht. She was proudly christened Love Is In The Airstream After many months of searching she was discovered in Port Macquarie in NSW. She was transported to Pennyroyal and underwent an extensive refurbishment that highlighted many of its original features and updated the interior to provide a luxurious and sumptuous interior. Love is In The Airstream is an International Traveller she travelled the globe prior to being welcomed at Otway Escapes. She started life in California, visiting Canada, Japan, Cairns, Noosa, Port Macquarie, and then home to Pennyroyal. Airstream is a global iconic brand, designed by Wally Byam. Below is a snippet of the history of the great man. In 1929, Wally Byam built the worlds first Airstream trailer. It started out as a tent contraption that he built on a Model T chassis, but it wasnt a lot of fun in the rain (and Wallys first wife Marion wasnt a fan). So he replaced the tent with a teardrop-shaped permanent shelter and added a stove and ice chest, too. It was easy to tow and caught the eye of other travellers, so much so that enough people asked Wally about it for him to decide it might be a pretty good business to get into. Good thing he did!
