09.01.2022 We have made it to our new destination in life throughout this amazing journey, Mission Beach in FNQueensland. We spent two fantastic years in the Kimberley working and exploring now it's time for a sea change. We've been out to our local BCF store in Innisfail ( it's so good to be so close to my favourite store full with fishing and camping gear). When there we were overwhelmed to see the beast, "Peter Patrol" on the front window of the newly refurbished store. We were quick... to introduce ourselves to the staff ( looking for some local fishing knowledge Lavinia thinks) and I look forward to disappearing and sneaking a few shopping days in as soon as we get settled. Lavinia and I are working hard with updating our trip information and some collections of our travels for you to all see. It's been a dream of ours to turn our travels into a DVD series which we are working hard to finish so we can share with all of our followers and to showcase our beautiful country with all. Looking forward to some Cape York adventures this year. It's been some time since we were there last. Stay tuned guys. #bcfaustralia #bcfinnisfail #bcf

05.01.2022 Hello everyone we've been quiet for a while enjoying the Kimberly life for sometime now. Meet the new addition to the "our family 4x4 adventures" team. Stock standard one owner from factory HZJ 75 series with a 1hz motor with 220k on the clock. It's been a huge effort this two weeks building this new truck for our move. Huge thanks to my best mate James and his beautiful partner Rebecca Jones for the help. It's had a huge facelift with a change of wheels ( via some Kimberley ...trading bargaining) new built canopy with a canvas sides made at home from and old safari tent, 220 watt of solar powering 450amp of batteries in the back, went through a rego and inspection check as it hasn't been used for over 8 years. Full overhaul of the cooling system, new fluids throughout, services and testing of everything , wiring upgrades, air con regas ( cheers ARAC air con) and a clean bill of health. This with a few more modifications down the track is the best companion that out patrol will have. Also towing a bigger boat with a custom paint job by the ever so talented Lavinia ( the talented one of the our family 4x4 adventures team ). And a new camping setup on the boat trailer too. The camper is fully packed and the Toyota is almost done ready for a sea change . Look out for some more amazing stories from our previous trip as we are now getting everything sorted for our next chapter in our master plan. This has been a truly stressful build but worth it in the end. We will miss you Kimberley life See more
