24.01.2022 Our Curator ensured the bell tolled at 6am, while many residents held vigils with candles along with the last post and dawn service broadcast from driveways. A unique but moving morning in the village ... lest we forget

24.01.2022 As the dust (or snow!) settles after our fabulous weekend of trains and art, we are looking for a few really good photos to preserve for posterity in the Heritage Room ... if you have any you feel fit the bill, please email them to me at [email protected] and I'll print them for Steve to display, and catalogue. A huge thank you to all who supported this event - it appears we had around 300 people through - mostly from out of town. Not only a great fundraiser for the old hall, but also excellent PR for the Village. Watch this space for news of next year's winter event!!!

14.01.2022 Wow - 200 likes for Our Heritage Room page! Thank you everyone for your support. Much appreciation also goes to those who are continuing to offer items for display - Steve is in the process of moving on from the Anzac theme and has some great new pieces to display. Watch this space! We are waiting on delivery of a carpet square which is now ready and will define a space in the Hall for people to sit and chat, perhaps play a game or do a jigsaw, even boil the jug for a cuppa (during the Heritage Room open hours). Again ... we'll let you know when it is set up

12.01.2022 Stockinbingal's Elves at Our Heritage Room today! Drop in and check out some local history and exhibits. The 2020 historic calendars are available and there is a Lustre Ware raffle too.

04.01.2022 The latest raffle supporting Our Heritage Room is a beautiful set of Lustre Ware. See Steve for tickets ($2 each or 3 for $5). And while you are there, enjoy some new items on display, order a 2020 historic calendar (which will be produced by early November), or pick up a great paperback for your reading pleasure. Normal hours: Fri, Sat, Sun from 10am. @ Ellwood’s Hall building, Martin Street.
