24.01.2022 Congratulations to the 18 recipients of the Principals Morning Tea Award who had morning tea with Mrs Crowe this morning. These students were nominated by their teacher for showing persistence during HBL. We talked about how sometimes its easier to work when it is quieter, as it was at home. 22.01.2022 Our OLOR Concert is quite a tradition each year and this year wasn’t the same without our family audience. It was very different with not much singing but lots of dancing and movement and body percussion and lots of fun being on the big stage. Baby Naomi slept through the whole thing for her first starring role as Baby Jesus! The show will be sent home in time for Christmas viewing.
22.01.2022 Best wishes Year 6 2020. You have been wonderful OLOR ambassadors. We will miss you. Our best wishes go with you.
22.01.2022 We couldn’t invite our grandparents to school this year so we organised a Grandparents Zoom Liturgy last week with over 80 grandparents joining us from NSW, interstate and overseas and lots of others watching the recording later. Many students sent messages to grandparents who they haven’t seen this year but who remain in their thoughts and hearts.
22.01.2022 In their history lesson, Year 1 collaborated to show how a toy has changed over time. They worked in small groups - listened to the ideas, talked through differences in opinion and agreed on how to present their learning as they showed how the toy has changed over time to still be able to be played today.
21.01.2022 Congratulations to two OLOR students who were prize winners in the recent 2020 Catholic Schools Broken Bay Bishop’s Religious Art Prize competition. Entrants were required to use a scriptural passage as the basis for a short film reflection. Katriel was the first place winner in the Stage 3 section for her interpretation of Matthew 11:28 where she reflected on the challenges of 2020 with drought, bushfires and COVID as we were encouraged to remember God is always near. Lucas received an Honorable Mention in the Stage 1 section for his interpretation of Jesus Feeds the 5000 where he used the Stop Motion Studio app. Well done.
