25.01.2022 Pray this while washing your hands; we priests pray this before celebrating the Holy Mass immediately after censing the altar.
24.01.2022 Beautiful Holy Mass this evening. As the priest holds the Body of Christ for the world to see, we are united with the eternal kingdom of Angels and Saints. Laetare (Rejoice) Sunday is an oasis in Lent where we look towards Easter. The violet of Lent is greeted with the white of Easter forming Rose. Tonight we used rose incense; a reminder that in order for our fragrance to be released, we must submit ourselves to the fire of God's love. The whole world is in a kind of Lent ri...ght now. Yet, the more crowds of people seek to fill their pantries with stockpiles of food; the more empty they become in spirit, in neighbourliness, in love. The gospel reading was of Jesus feeding the five thousand. In St John's gospel, this is very clearly a Eucharistic narrative; it was people's souls that Christ would, and does, satisfy. We must, therefore rejoice! We will come through this Lent, whether it be temporal virus, or a lifetime of trial; there will be a rising, there will be an Easter Day! God love you. Fr Chris
23.01.2022 At Holy Mass yesterday evening we were challenged by St Paul, and by Our Blessed Lord, to eschew temporal frivolities that neither feed the soul, nor lead to eternal reward. In Lent we seem to spend a lot of time considering the Devil. He is, of course, the Father of Lies and the great dividing (diabolical) force present in the world. His concern is time because that is all he has got; he has lost his eternal consolation. Satan wants to keep us caught up in temporal concern...s, weighed down by the wrong thoughts and wrong deeds that we do. Christ, by contrast lifts our eyes upwards towards our eternal destination. Lifted high upon the Cross in self-sacrifice, Christ unites us all in looking towards everlasting salvation. The Devil may have his hour, but God has His day! Our response to our own sense of sin and unworthiness is of the utmost importance. The Devil would have us focused on sin; this is because such a focus leads us to believe his lie that God does not want us, that we are too filthy: unforgivable. It also leads to a Puritanical view of others in the world, constantly judging the action or inaction of others as though we were God, able to perfectly judge others against our own perfect standard. Puritans are all around us, it has become the new religion. Most are not theists at all, but that doesn't stop them signalling their own environmental virtue whilst looking disdainfully upon their brothers and sisters for daring to exist at all. The response that bears fruit is a genuine piety. Lent reminds us of the method towards a holy piety: fasting; prayer for our own salvation; and giving to others who need support. My prayer is that you may know that Christ opens His arms to you when you feel the least lovable, and the most destitute. He is the Truth, the antidote to lies, He is the Way to be and the Way to Heaven; and He is the Life ready to quicken you for all eternity. God love you! Fr Chris
22.01.2022 Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, we remember with thanksgiving those who made the supreme sacrifice for us in time or war. We pray that the offering of their lives may not have been in vain. ... May your grace enable us this day to dedicate ourselves to the cause of justice, freedom and peace; and give us the wisdom and strength to build a better world, for the honour and glory of your Name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. See more

18.01.2022 New year, new beginning. Come back to Mass.
17.01.2022 Anglicans and Roman Catholics are particularly welcome as we are aware that there are no Masses in your churches this weekend. We will strictly enforce fewer than 100 people in total as this is the Governmental guideline. If there are over 100 then we will hold a second Mass 1 hour later. God love you!
15.01.2022 Join us this afternoon at 5 pm for Mass. All necessary health precautions will be in place.
12.01.2022 Some advice on home baptisms during the current lock-down. Do not delay baptising your child; it is the sacramental means by which they are marked indelibly as God's children in Christ, our Lord. If you do the baptism, then please ensure that you use living water (out of the tap for example), and that you distinctly say the words printed in this post. No other words convey valid baptism. God bless you.
10.01.2022 Come let us adore Him: 5pm TODAY, 48 Blackall Street, Broadmeadow, NSW.

02.01.2022 He has made man just a little lower than the Angels. In the midst of darkness and trouble, when shut inside; do not forget the beauty with which God has endowed you and the whole of creation.
