31.01.2022 I am currently on leave due to surgery, and therefore closed until 2022, with a full roster to commence the new year. I thank all of my families for their continued support and care throughout a difficult year, and look forward to rejoining some familiar faces and a couple of newer ones in January.

25.01.2022 With only two purraay in Our Nest today it was a great day for decluttering! Aubrey and Liza were happy with what has been left... both inside and out! I'd noticed a lot of stuff was being tossed around ... But that certain things were always firm favourites. Those faves have been kept, and the rest will go into storage for later, or if the children decide they are needed! A productive and busy day... let's see how the other purraay like it tomorrow!

24.01.2022 Annabelle was adoring all her scratches today. Even tried eating a few hats!! For the older child pictured it was her first time petting Annabelle... but she picked all the right spots! Instant love.

22.01.2022 I will have two permanent positions available for a Tuesday and Wednesday from the 11th August. 22.01.2022 Thanks to a friend and fellow FDC educator for this suggestion. A portable potty to take out with us for children who are uncomfortable with squatting ;) it can also be used on public toilets to reduce seat size! Looking forward to giving it a test drive!

21.01.2022 Yama and welcome to a new year in Our Nest. Some purraay have finished up with us, but others will be beginning from February. I will have a full load of under school age children each day, so can only offer casual days to anyone else requiring care. During January I have casual vacancies... But you must be registered with Far West Family Day Care to access this. Jan 5th to 7th : 3 under school age spots and 3 school age spots... Mon Jan 11 and 18: 1 under school age spot, 2 school age spots Tue Jan 12 and 19:1 under school age spots and 3 school age spots Wed Jan 13 and 20: 2 under school age and 3 school age Thur Jan 14 and 21: 2 under school.age and 3 school.age. 17.01.2022 Flashback to 10th July 2018!!

10.01.2022 We toasted marshmallows on our fire pit today! So much sticky fun! The joys of childhood!! (Yes...the reminder of our plan today was what got two purraay out of bed this morning lol!)

10.01.2022 Our trolley arrived today... from cart-a-lot.com.au It is wonderful!! It will come in very handy for excursions and for safety fire drills. It will hold spare nappies, a picnic rug, small first aid kit and a small snack. We can also put our lunch boxes and water bottles in it. It has an insulated and waterproof cover so will be suitable for all weather, and can be pushed or pulled. We might go for a trial walk with it on Monday next week and see how it goes!

At this stage I'd prefer to give the place to a 2 to 5 year old, but would consider a younger child if they are used to being in care! 07.01.2022 Busy day in Our Nest with four wonderful purraay doing their thing! The painting set up is fantastic...working so well for these ones, and well utilised. They enjoy removing and replacing the lids! Our starter gardens are checked frequently. They love picking weeds and seeing how healthy they look.... The mud kitchen is very much loved again. And some realistic looking creation s are happening!

06.01.2022 This pair have been with me from the start of my journey pretty much. It is a joy to see them grow and develop. The continuity of care is beneficial for children and adults as connections tend to be far stronger. Plus it brings such joy ... and we all need that!

06.01.2022 After over a month of not using the indoor playroom, I made the decision to relocate the majority of resources outside. I hope it works beautifully...I reclaim more of my home space, the children spend more time outdoors and we still have a lovely indoor space for weather extremes.

It appears that one Thursday spot is filled and interest has been indicated by someone for 3 days. 05.01.2022 To all my fellow Early Childhood Educators, celebrate what we do... for we provide an essential service for our families. I am blessed that I can say I love my job more than I don't... and this is an important thing given the year we have had thus far.
