Lauren made our day perfect. We were adamant we didn't want a stuffy old celebrant to marry us. And I'm so glad we found Lauren. She is young, romantic and bubbly, but still extremely professional.... . . Although we are located in Canberra, we got married on the South Coast of NSW where Lauren is originally from. When I found out that she was now living in Cairns, my heart sank. But this wasn't an issue! Lauren is happy to do ceremonies all over and particularly works in Cairns, Sydney and the upper South Coast. She travelled down for our wedding at no extra charge. We had a couple of Skype meetings to initially meet and then to plan. She was also happy to meet us in person in Sydney when we both happened to be there - didn't end up meeting but the offer was very much appreciated. . . Lauren made our ceremony run so smoothly. Her willingness to get to know us and mould our ceremony content accordingly made her the perfect choice for us. She has plenty of ideas and is happy to take on your ideas as well without hesitation. . . Also, we were expecting to pay a lot more to get the type of celebrant we wanted so it was a lovely surprise that Lauren's fees are the same as many other celebrants. It's not necessarily that you get what you pay for in this instance - for a great price we got everything we ever wanted, and a perfectly happily ever after. xo' . I had the honour of officiating at Alex and Matt's wedding last December in Centennial Park, Sydney and today, I received their feedback form in the post along with a very gorgeous photo of them. (So much better than finding another bill in the letterbox!) ...Here is what Matt, the groom had to say; 'As the Groom, my one job was picking our celebrant - not a task I was looking forward to! 08.01.2022 Any strong, loving & healthy relationship deserves to be legally recognised and celebrated! #loveislove I internally cringe every time I have to state the current definition of marriage in Australia at the ceremonies I conduct - 'a union between a man and a woman'; it is NOT my belief, it is not modern in anyway whatsoever, but I am legally bound to say it unfortunately. I cannot WAIT for the day when I can confidently state that 'marriage, according to law in Australia, is... the union of 'two PEOPLE''That day (fingers crossed) is not far away. You have until 11:59pm TODAY to hop over to the AEC website and update your details so that you will be able to vote 'YES' in the upcoming postal plebiscite. Ballot papers will start arriving in the mail from the 12th September. Let's do this. This conversation should have ended a long time ago!

06.01.2022 Sinead + Patrick . When I asked Sinead to reveal what her favourite qualities were in Patrick, one of the very first things she said was...'he is the perfect height for me!' . A mans height has always been Sinead's thing...and in her young days at Uni, her main prerequisite for a potential boyfriend was that he was tall, dark and handsome. She remembers thinking that she would never have a boyfriend, because in her own words, 'there were just all these short guys everywhere....' However, she was absolutely thrilled the night that she saw this really tall guy in the distance across campus with long dark hair...and that guy was Pat and she definitely made it her mission to meet him. . After an amazing 8 years together on the 7th Oct 17, Sinead married her tall, dark and handsome man in front of all her friends and family at the most stunning and remote location in St Albans, NSW. .
