05.01.2022 Hi All, I have some disappointing news to share, but first I would like to apologise for any potential inconveniences it may cause you. As you may already be aware a core member of the "Our Collective Ground" team has decided to leave on very short notice, during this pivotal growth phase and it has left me (Adam) in quite a pickle. All production systems have been designed and built from scratch specifically for purpose with two knowledgeable operators in mind.... I have taken some time to consider what is practical moving forward and have come to the conclusion that as much as I would like to, I simply cannot maintain the existing Microgreen production schedule alone, most importantly I do not feel that I can guarantee the quality of service and produce that the business has been built upon, on such short notice with an already overloaded scheduled. I am simply not willing to sacrifice quality for a quick income. I certainly hope this is not the end of the operation, I am looking into all available options and will do my absolute best to make good on the promises that have been made. Microgreen production will continue once I acquire the capital to redesign it efficiently for one person to operate. I will continue researching product suggestions by our customers and intend to move into field production as soon as the weather permits. I have approached Switch Tasmania for business advice regarding grant writing, though due to the immature stage of the business it may be hard to source funding. I would really like to thank Fourways Fruit & Veg and The Nut House for supporting us with orders from the beginning, and all the Restaurants and Grocers that showed such interest and complimented our produce, Alchemy Cafe, Beach Hut Coffee, Laneway, Thirty three cups., Pier01, Bayviews Restaurant & Lounge Bar, Hellyers Road Distillery, La Mar Cafe Providore, The Apple Tree Cafe, Mountain Mumma, Verona Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar, Drift, Hill Street Devonport, Sheffield Fruit & Veg and anyone else i may have forgotten. We really have appreciated all the industry insight, advice, suggestions and support, thanks I very much hope this is just a pothole in the road and that we will soon be back on track to continue our mission of making High-Quality Nutrient-Dense produce available across the NW Coast. Any potential interest in our operations or suggestions moving forward would be most appreciated? Thanks
04.01.2022 Microgreens aren't just pretty, they are nutrient dense too! We harvest at the break of dawn when the microgreens are full of sugars which they use as energy to grow and protect themselves from cold conditions. Here is some info about Radish.
