25.01.2022 Hi All! Just checking in to let you know we have honey if you need a top up of liquid gold! In the lead up to Christmas (yes, the silly season is upon us!) we may not make it back to the markets for a bit but we can do pick up from our front door. Honey Fifi will no doubt greet you loudly and enthusiastically, as she has decided to be our very own living doorbell! Underneath all that volume, she is as sweet as her namesake. For honey orders, PM me or text. And have a fabulous day!

24.01.2022 Exciting news! We will be back at the Markets (now in Arthur Street) this Sunday 20th September. As per COVID restrictions, we will be selling only new jars (no refills), and it will be first in best dressed as we have limited stock. Thank you to all those lovely customers who have been picking up honey from our home over the last few months. And thank you to those who have been patiently waiting for the markets to open - can't wait to see you again! We'll also have some lovely beeswax for those who enjoy making their own wraps and cosmetics (among other things!). And the photo of the Hippeastrum is just because I am so pleased with it! Twelve beautiful blossoms!

24.01.2022 Bedtime for our Little Mountain bees...we watch them come home as the light fades. A bit of a traffic jam! See you at the Caloundra Farmers Markets this Sunday at the Currimundi Primary School.

21.01.2022 Back by popular demand! I am now refilling your OurHive bottles again! Bring them down to the Arthur Street Farmer's Market today. We also have pure beeswax, MYO curry powder, honeycomb and rose geranium oil (all proceeds from the rose geranium oil go to Currimundi Primary School). Looking forward to seeing you!

20.01.2022 Nestled in bushland near Mount Mellum these bees love the morning sun.

20.01.2022 Yummy Our Hive honey still available direct from our front door! Message or phone me to arrange a time for pick up!

20.01.2022 Guess what! We're extracting our honey as I write this post. It will be sieved & bottled and ready for pick up tomorrow for all of you who have been waiting patiently!

19.01.2022 Ooh la la! We have honey again! Busy sieving it today so that it can be bottled this afternoon. Stocks are limited, so if you need a top up, let me know so you don't miss out!

16.01.2022 Run out of Our Hive honey and desperate to get your hands on some more deliciousness? We can do contactless pick up for you - just message or phone me on 0409 724 943 to arrange.

15.01.2022 Great for gifts and gift baskets - our little 270g jar $5.50. Message or phone me to order. And have a fabulous Sunshine Coast Sunday!

15.01.2022 We stopped by Mammino's ice cream near Childers last week (Yum!), and noticed this unusual tree which bears it's flowers on the trunk and branches, instead of between the leaves. Obviously bees don't care where the blossoms are, as long as there's nectar!

14.01.2022 A photo from our archives, from our one of our " bee sitters", Leanne -- thank you for doing such a great job! And thank you to all our lovely customers, who have continued to buy our wonderful honey throughout the past few months. So much so that we have temporarily sold out! We will let you know when we have some more (hopefully only a week or two).

10.01.2022 Lucky us! A friend was moving house and asked us to babysit this stunning orchid. I don't think bees polinate these orchids, but I'm sure they'd appreciate their beauty!

10.01.2022 Chief Beekeeper extraordinaire, James, has been delayed in Toowoomba so hasn't made it back to the Sunny Coast in time to say hello to our little buzzy friends, and gather honey for the markets. He'll be back in time to gather some for the 29th March though, and we'll be back on track!

09.01.2022 Spring has sprung and the bees have been busy! We have a fresh batch of delicious honey in stock, scented with wattle and calistemon pollen. Message me directly to get your jar of spring blossoms!

09.01.2022 Always cocky I work my bees gloveless. As it turns out at the top of the list of things that bees hate are Hand Sanitizer and alcohal hand wash. Ask me how i know? #bloodyhellmyhandshurt

08.01.2022 We'll be back at the Arthur Street Farmer's market on Sunday with plenty of honey, beeswax and with limited stock of our delicious honeycomb. Hope to see you there!

07.01.2022 To all our lovely customers we have made the decision not to go to the markets until the coronavirus is no longer an issue. I will miss our lovely chats, but please stay in touch through Facebook and text. But just to keep you posted, here's a little video our daughter filmed yesterday for you

05.01.2022 One of the hazards our bees have to dodge are these enormous spiders which set up there webs conveniently placed just outside the hives. This beauty has scored a feast! Fortunately a healthy beehive can have up to 50,000 bees, so the depredations of our arachnid friends barely make a dent in the numbers. Cane toads, however, meet a very swift end if discovered near our hives!

04.01.2022 Yay! The markets are back in business! The new location is at the Rugby League grounds in Arthur Street. Hope to see yoi this morning!

03.01.2022 We've only got 8 x 1kg jars of honey left before we run out. It's our winter lull before the wattles and calistemons start to flower in earnest...so about 2 weeks before we can collect our honey. We like to leave enough honey in the hive so that our bees have plenty to eat in the leaner times.

02.01.2022 My friend Lyn, who lives in Toowoomba, sent me this lovely photo of a bee visiting one of the camellias in her garden.

02.01.2022 Lovely local beeswax now available - great for making wax wraps, cosmetics, and a 100 other uses! Oval ones are $3.50, little beehives & round ones $2.50 each. We also have bulk wax at $40/kg. Phone me on 0409 724 943 for safe contactless pick up.

01.01.2022 We hope you are all having a fabulous weekend! Our bees are dodging raindrops again and we're planning our next visit to the Caloundra Farmers Markets for Sunday 22nd March.
