23.01.2022 Look at our gorgeous new playground! This week we've been lucky enough to get a stunning new wooden playground featuring monkey bars for muscle growth and the development of measured risk taking skills, a fort for dramatic play, a ladder and rock wall for muscle development and balance and binoculars for extensions of imaginative play. The benefits to a playground like this are limitless and our kids have been trying to uncover every potential experience possible through dari...ng feats of bravery and continually challenging themselves physically and mentally. We absolutely love our new playground and can't wait to see all the awesome opportunities it provides us in the future!

23.01.2022 We have some exciting news!

17.01.2022 In relation to the current Covid 19 Global crisis, our staff are working harder than ever to ensure our children are safe, secure and supported. Our hygiene practices are being put into over drive as we strive to keep the centre as hygienic as possible. From all of the Educators here at Our House, we love you all and we're thinking of you in this trying time. Follow Ollie's lead and keep smiling! We're all in this mess together. Whether you're currently enrolled with us or isolating at home, please contact us if you need anything. Stay safe, stay healthy and stay happy.

16.01.2022 The Easter Bunny visited Our House this week and our lovely little people dove into the task of finding all of the Easter eggs with unbridled enthusiasm! They tore around the yard, leaving no stone unturned until all the eggs had been collected and evenly distributed among our easter baskets. The world may have gone a little crazy lately but we might as well still try to have some fun. It was a terrific change of pace and gave us all a reason to laugh, smile and appreciate w...hat we have. Happy Easter from the team at Our House!

12.01.2022 Welcome to Space! Recently our children have begun to delve into the idea of space exploration and develop a rudimentary understanding of what the solar system is and how it relates to us and our world. Space exploration is a natural extension of human curiosity and as such, we have worked to indulge and supplement that curiosity. ... Our kids had a blast exploring the new playspace and bombarding their educators with questions! What a fantastic learning opportunity!

11.01.2022 Having dug a big hole in the middle of the sandpit, Marion had an idea! What if we made a waterhole? She shared her plan with the children and they all set off to gather the materials they’d need to pull this off. They placed a tarp over the hole to keep the water in place, surrounded it by rocks to hold the tarp down and filled the hole with buckets of water. As they examined their finished work, the children started to dance and walk around the water so Marion went and grabbed some feathers. They sat next to the waterhole and discussed native Americans culture, how it relates to this activity and the similarities shared with the first Australians: The Aboriginals. What a riveting spontaneous learning experience!

08.01.2022 Check out our Aussie Animals Playspace in the Kinder room! This week we've been learning about our native fauna and as such, we decided to create some creatures from playdough, googly eyes and loose parts! This activity lead to some fantastic imaginative creations and brilliant interpretations!

01.01.2022 Sensory play! Yesterday we set up some sensory bags for our friends to explore. Everyone was thrilled! Sensory bags are fantastic for focusing on your childs object manipulation skills by allowing them to learn how their actions impact the items in the bag, the bag itself and the appearance of their creation. Its a fantastic and often very soothing experience with multiple opportunities for sensory development and helps instil a rudimentary understanding of cause and effect ...principles. What fun!
