15.01.2022 So let's clarify some myths about ICAM investigators and investigations. We only wear sunglasses outside. We don't use a torch all the time- it's generally eas...ier to turn lights on in a room when we enter. We don't drive big Hummers. In fact, some of our investigators still use public transport due to convenience! Our investigators don't carry a badge. Or a gun. So what are some of the things we do carry and use? Here's a quick snapshot, but by no means is it exhaustive: - Pocket Investigation Guide - Notepads and pens/pencils - Mobile phone (capable of taking photos, videos, recording voice, etc) - Tape measure - Lockout/Tagout devices - Hi-Vis vest #icam #safetywise #icamtraining

07.01.2022 So, today is R U OK? day. And I think it's a great initiative, but I want to put one caveat on it.... This is not a thing we do for a day and then forget about ...it. These are conversations we need to have daily with friends and family. And most importantly, know your limitations- mental health conversations are not something to experiment with or to mess around with. The consequences can be far-reaching if we don't seek professional help when needed.
