21.01.2022 From our cyber safety friends at Inform and Empower; I recently sat down with students aged 6-12 to discuss all things digital. The #1 game in junior and middle primary school still remains Roblox (although Among Us is a fierce rival). FACT 1: By default the game will be in the 13+ unrestricted mode, allowing any & all games (horror, violence, sexual references) to be accessed as well as direct messaging with anyone.... FACT 2: It will take you 5min to enable and pin protect the settings to ensure it is played with age appropriate restrictions in place. We've done the hard work for you and prepared an easy to follow guide to help you setup parental controls (see below) FACT 3: With parental controls setup, your child will not be able to access every game that their friends are playing and will not be able to send direct messages. They will dislike you (or even hate you). 20.01.2022 The latest online game sweeping across schools is Among Us. With now over 200 million players worldwide, there's every chance it's popular among your students. Like any online game, there are safe and unsafe ways that the game can be played. The cyber safety team from Inform and Empower have put together a parents guide to help you maintain your child’s safety whilst playing this game online.

19.01.2022 Dear Parents and Students, We will be holding our next whole School Assembly this Friday 11th September at 11.00am. The assembly will coincide with Footy Colours Day that is being organised by Mr Zerbi. We encourage all students and families to dress up for the assembly in your favourite footy colours.... The webinar is $10 a ticket and 100% of the proceeds go towards the KidsHelpline Foundation. #olop #parenting

01.01.2022 The year 6’s kicked of their last full week of school with a long awaited trip to Funfields. Even with true Melbourne weather, the students had an amazing time celebrating their final days of primary school together as a class. #olopdonvale #olopgraduatesof2020

01.01.2022 Our school's sense of community is never more evident than in the work of these students. 2 OLOP students took it upon themselves to create beautiful pictures and letters to send to a retirement village and bring joy to the senior citizens of Donvale. We are so proud of these students for their initiative and compassion for others. The residents were very grateful for the care and time they took to think of them.
