25.01.2022 We’re proud to supply our freerange rare breed pork to Meat Mistress. They are passionate about sourcing local, ethically produced meat, and have personally visited all the farms that supply them. Pop in, buy some delicious cuts, and have a conversation with them, you will be converted! #eatyourethics #radicaltransparency #knowthyfarmer #supportlocal #realbutchery

21.01.2022 A lovely article about how we rediscovered the taste of bacon, to growing our own baconseed With a lot of apples, cider and misadventures along the way. 20.01.2022 Hello Valley locals! If you are looking to get into fruit picking work this season, please take this quick survey regarding transport. We know that getting to and from work can be a real hurdle for some people (I remember when I was a teenager with no car!) and there are some options being worked out right now, they would love your input.

20.01.2022 Our Matthew Tack spoke to Tony Briscoe on ABC Tasmania Country Hour last Thursday on working on farms through holidays. With closed borders, a lot of farms reliant on transient backpacker labour will have to change it up, which can be difficult given the seasonal and intermittent nature of agricultural work. #orchardlife #farmwork #abchobart #abcradio #farming #tasmanianfarms

19.01.2022 So proud to have our single varietal juice stocked at Eumarrah! #certifiedorganic #applejuice #madebythefarmer #singlevarietal #supportlocal

11.01.2022 Last night we were incredibly privileged to attend the Willie Smith's Cider Makers Cider Club launch, highlighting their new limited edition ciders, with the accompaniment of a gorgeous menu delivered by Analiese Gregory. Since the day we met Andrew Smith, who tried to talk us out of the apple game, only to draw us into it with his enthusiasm and infinite support, we have been lucky to be part of the Willie Smith’s family. Growing cider apples is not a new innovation, but g...rowing it here in the Valley for the inspired craftspeople at Willie’s to turn it into the liquid gold that they do - that could only have happened through the hard work and dedication of Andrew and Sam, and their team. And it was pure pleasure to have one of our loved Large Black pigs who work as our orchard cleanup crew, snaffling up fallen cider apples, transformed into a multitude of amazing dishes on the night by the effervescent Analiese Gregory. We have never eaten so well and with so much pride that a creature we raised was treated with such skill and respect, used in its entirety. This Valley, this place, its people, this is why we do what we do, and why we live where we do. #tasmaniancider #tasmanian #realcider #huonvalley #williesmithscider #nosetotail #buylocal #supportlocal
