My name is Peter Chatfield and I have a passion for recreational fishing and adventure. Nothing is more important to me than safety on the water, 35+ years ago my uncle Peter (whom I am named after), was lost out at sea. As a result of this, my family has raised me to be aware of the dangers and precautions we need to take when visiting the Barrier Reef. We all love going fishing and boating in our beautiful coastal waters of Townsville, and if things ever go down we always pray that the local VMR Burdekin Marine Rescue Squadron arrives with a quick rescue response. To do this VMR Burdekin need donations to assist with costs like training, maintenance, fuel costs and admin costs. The VMR Burdekin Squadron works tirelessly in making sure we all make it home from a boating trip safely.
