I came to Australia in 2007 as a student to Cairns to study cheffing and get permanent residency. . I love cooking Asian food because there is always fresh veggies and lotsa flavour. . Moved to Tenterfield in Feb '20 and had 1st exciting experience working with OP on Feb 15th wedding and ran for 12 1/2 hours....my goodness...words I said to Keri, 'all good, nice crosy gig, as all sorted and ready to go'...eeekkk. . Loves presenting meals on pink plates...NOT! . Favourite food - pork ribs Favourite drink - JD and coke Hobby - scuba diving 1 brother in Italy. . Always teaching us South Africa words..oh they are interesting...Yellow squash is called 'Patti pans', corn is called 'meilies', bbq is called a 'braai', and South African sausage is called 'Boerewors' or 'wors' for short.. . I met Jason (my partner) on Thursday Island while working in a coffee shop in 2017, he came into the shop (called Makai) nearly every day for staff meetings. One Floral Friday night at Australia's northern most pub, The Torres, we had drinks I asked him if he wanted to come with me to Horn island the next day, he did, and the rest is history. I was supposed to stay on TI for 4 months but after meeting Jason I stayed for a year while he finished up work and sold all his stuff to come travelling with me. 10.01.2022 Hi hi...this is my little friend Jess, and this is her story..... I became Jessica Anne in Stanthorpe hospital in 1999 (I still call her Jessica Jane....) I went to primary school at Wallangarra state school and then to Stanthorpe state high school. Next was to study a few interesting subjects during year 11 and 12, cert 2&3 in hospitality and 2&3 in tourism and just to mix it up I did a cert 2 in wine operations. I graduated year 12 in 2016 (this kid has way more qualificati...ons than all of us put together.....clever lady) . I had a year off before finding Amanda and our place where my working life and hospitality kicked off. (And thank goodness this little lady found us....we would be lost with out her!) . My favourite colour - is blue My favourite food - is spaghetti (we are winning in the food department, as Jess now even eats and cooks kale chips...yep that's right, kale chips....and they are delish....jess even now orders fish when out and about....)
