09.01.2022 TUESDAYS TIP One of my aims for the new year is to endeavour to be a bit more structured. So I thought I'd share a heath/ timesaving tip each Tuesday - things t...hat really help me to eat well without a whole lot of extra effort. I love adding nuts and seeds to my salads (and also over steamed veggies). In a large recent study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, regular consumption of nuts (over 5 times a week) was linked to significantly lower inflammatory biomarkers. So in a nutshell, regular consumption of nuts can reduce chronic inflammation and associated diseases. I find a good sprinkling of nuts and seeds also adds bulk to my salads (in the form of good fats and protein) which is perfect for my very hungry sporty, growing kids plus it makes veggies and salads taste SO much better. But here's the thing. If I toast them on the fly I always end up burning them which really, really annoys me (insert cursing in the kitchen). So I've taken to once every few weeks I toast (or dehydrate if you area able) a few trays and pop them in recycled jars in the fridge. So adding these delicious, crunchy morsels of goodness becomes as easy as the vid below. I hope this kind of post is useful? G x

07.01.2022 Fabic's 16 guiding principles of behaviour change daily challenge. Principle #1 - Everyone uses unwanted behaviour, we are all the same. All of us from time to... time express behaviours we would not prefer to use. Fact. By this notion alone WE ARE ALL THE SAME. We are equal in the fact that we ALL have aspects of life we have mastered and aspects of life we have not mastered. and therefore are all students of life as we are all teachers of life. No matter what you do in your day today, how much are you seeing everyone around you as equal to you and you equal to them? What can you learn from them and what can they learn from you? #BodyLifeSkills #WeAreAllTheSame #Fabics16PrinciplesOfBehaviourChangeChallenge
