23.01.2022 This is a little clip about the Equestrian program at Bond Uni, which I am absolutely loving being a part of. Thank you to ADCO Construction for sponsoring my scholarship and allowing me to be part of these amazing experiences. I am beyond excited for the next two years I get to spend at Bond, working with amazing people to help promote equestrian at Bond and throughout the community. https://youtu.be/hyV7kuoIGy4

21.01.2022 Share house with horse agistment Available from January 2020 Finally! It’s possible to move into a share house and take your horse with you, while still being close to work / uni / a social life! 20.01.2022 What a day! Flynn and I have already been on such a journey from when we first met when he was just 3 weeks old and now to finally get to have my first ride on him...what a feeling! So excited for the future. Thank you so much to Richard Sharman for the great work he's done with Flynn and Cheryl O'Brian for looking after him while he's been starting this next phase of his life. Big thank you to Nicole Tough for giving me the courage and inspiration to take him on

20.01.2022 So happy to have finished my first full year at small tour with my little partner Vinnie. Ending on a high at the QLD State Chamionships with 67% plus in all three tests and placings to be proud of. In a few weeks Vinnie, Groomy and I are heading down to the Australian National Championships with Colin Tough and Nicole Tough where we'll be competing in the CDI-Young Rider classes. This is my and Vinnie's first time heading to Open Nationals and we'll be aiming to bring al...l the year's work together at the right time. Thanks Nic for all your help we wouldn't be on this journey without you and the whole NTDT fam. Massive thank you to Dr Andrew Blum for helping Vinnie make it to the comp in one piece. Thank you to The Saddlefitter for sponsoring the competition and also for sourcing and fitting my new saddle! I know it wasn't easy but I LOVE it! Thank you to the entire The Saddlefitter Qld State Dressage Championships event committee for all your hard work

19.01.2022 Lily's training has devolped even further in the last couple months! I've really enjoyed working with her but she's now looking for a rider to share her new knowledge with. https://youtu.be/ZU9La_aw9zQ

19.01.2022 *Warning - you may want to turn the sound off* Now that the world is getting back to normal, I had planned to also get back into keeping you updated with what’s happening in Our Ride. I just didn’t think I was going to start with this... Those of us in dressage know that behind any beautiful, harmonious competition ride is years of hard work. Dirty, messy, sweaty, physical, damn hard work. And the need to take some pretty hard knocks unfortunately. Like I said, this wasn’t ...on the agenda for today. But this happened. Dressage riders don’t always walk away from these incidents. I’m grateful that today, with the help of the strength of my KEP Italia - MAIN PAGE KEP helmet, after an ambulance ride, a few good painkillers and some time in a hospital bed, I did. Grateful and feeling lucky. However down one favourite shirt and one very loved helmet This was a typical and not totally unexpected young horse incident. Flynn is fine and I still love him and the journey we’re on. Just working on a bit of a risk management plan for the immediate future moving forward. Watch this space Thanks also to coach Nicole Tough for guiding, mentoring and basically holding my hand though this process More photos in comments. See more

19.01.2022 Well, even without competitions what a busy couple weeks it has been! First, day one of the Garth Hughes clinic. He summarised Vinnie perfectly within the first five minutes and gave us some great new ways of looking at things that still complimented our training. After that, it was a quick dash back down the coast for the Bond Uni Sports and Blues awards. And how surprised I was to receive a full University Blues Award! I owe that one to Vinnie. Then it was back... up to Caboolture where Groomy had been doing a wonderful job looking after my boy. Day 2 with Gareth showed much improvement and consolidation of what we had worked on the day before. The alarm was going off at 4am on Saturday so I could work on one of my uni assignments before a busy day of setting everything up for the Festival of Dressage! I did manage to fit in a ride because our committee had everything running ahead of schedule! What a great feeling that was. Then a team BBQ on Saturday night to celebrate what was hopefully going to be a great event! Another 4 am start on Sunday to finish my assignment, YAY! And then it was Festival time. What an awesome day it was. I am so grateful to have been part of the team who put it together this year. I learnt so much about running big events and it was super rewarding to be part of something that gives back to our sport in so many ways. Then it was home for a few nights to work on the homework Gareth gave us, do my real homework and a couple shifts at work before WE WERE BACK AT QSEC. I can affectionately say it is now my second home. I had two lessons with Roger Fitzharding who was very pleased with our work and especially to see the difference from where we were at the start of the year when he last saw us. We even got to try a few new tricks! (Video to come) Lots to work on over summer! See more

16.01.2022 Well! The last two days have certainly been great here at Willinga park!Yesterday Vinnie was well on the top of his game and feeling fantastic, the rider...not so much (she needed a slap!) I got a little carried away towards the end of the lines of changes because of how good they were going! And then forgot to keep riding till the end of the line so Vinnie got a little muddled while I was off in fairy land . With a few other little mistakes we still managed a solid s...core and a second in the CDI-Y Team test. Today was the CDI-Y Individual test. Vinnie was still going super (although losing a little bit of steam) and after kicking myself for the last 24 hours, I didn’t let my boy down this time! With Nicole’s words echoing in my head (including her advice after yesterday’s test ‘it’s not over ‘till the fat lady sings’) we had a fantastic, mistake free ride. What a feeling! We scored 68% and were on top of the worldand the podium. Last ride tomorrow is the freestyle before hitting the road for the long journey home

15.01.2022 Groomy and I were lucky enough to recently attend the inaugural Gold Coast Elite Sports Conference. It was such an inspiring and informative day. Having had the chance to hear from some amazing athletes, coaches and administrators interviewed, I thought I’d run a few questions past Vinnie seeing as he is my FAVOURITE athlete. Q: So Vinnie, after your success at Willinga in February we haven’t seen you out competing much. Where have you been? A. After we got back from that... long drive, for a long time Daisy only let me walk and do a bit of jogging on the spot. Not sure why. But lots of people looked closely at one of my front feet and said ‘quarter crack’. Maybe that had something to do with it. I really missed proper training with Daisy but I’m glad she still spent time hanging with me every day. Now it feels so good to be back training hard again. I’m feeling fit again and much happier! Q. I understand you guys returned to competition at last month’s Qld Young Rider Champ’s. How did that go? A. Awesome! I loved seeing all my competition stable mates I’ve missed them! It was a little bit tiring with three days of competing in a row, but Daisy encouraged me through and I got lots of pats and licorice, so I reckon it was a success. We were Reserve Champions in the CDI YR class and we scored a personal best in our freestyle! Q. And finally, what are your goals for the rest of the season? A. First and foremost, I really want to get back to where we were at the start of the year and build from there. I think we’re getting pretty close. Daisy was so proud of me at Willinga I love that feeling and I want us to keep finding more of it together. We are just staying focused on all the little details in our training sessions, so we can give ourselves the best chance of doing well when it counts. Thanks Vinnie! I cannot thank Joel Stewart enough for his expertise in handling Vinnie's foot, avoiding any lameness and getting us through Willinga and then back on track as soon as we possibly could. Also my coach, Nicole Tough, for helping me stay patient while Vinnie was on strict walking-only rehab it drove me a little crazy. @goldcoast_esc RDK Sports Management Solutions #hoofgold

13.01.2022 Thank you Maryborough Active Riders Group for hosting another awesome Fraser Coast Championship 2 Star! Three days filled with ... - another road trip with our Nicole Tough Dressage Team teammates - enjoying Grandma’s spaghetti and roasted marshmallows around the campfire - putting our new super fun (and challenging!) Inter 1 Freestyle to the test... - competing against my coach (daunting, but that’s how our sport works!) - feeling so much pride and gratitude for my dancing partner. Vinnie was an absolute super star who tried his heart out all weekend and answered every question I asked of him (even when I asked the wrong question!!) Thanks so much to everyone who contributes to these experiences, especially my coach, Nicole Tough, and the third member of Vinnie’s and my team, Groomy who definitely earned her glass of bubbles on freestyle night ;) Bondsport Bond University Equestrian Australia Equestrian Queensland C4 Belts Australia

12.01.2022 4 years on and we’re looking at (maybe) our Medium Tour start when comps are back on!

11.01.2022 Day three of competition marked the end of competition 1 down here at @willingapark Dressage by the Sea. Vinnie (Fairbanks Davinci) and I got to try out our new Lion King themed freestyle! It was so much fun to ride and while there were a couple costly errors (Vinnie chose a convenient day to show off some one time changes that aren’t required yet) we still managed to receive 4th place is a great field of riders. I’m looking forward to giving it another go next weekend! F...lynn (Remi Lanikai) was a fabulous boy in round 2 of the 4 year old class. We received similar feedback as on day one but he was with me every step and behaved so well in the rain absolutely so excited to see where his future takes us. We also said goodbye to the rest of the #NTDT team as they hit the road to home. Thank you so much @nicole_tough_dressage for all your help while you were here with us and I’ll do my best to remember EVERYTHING Looking forward to a couple days training now to try and produce some more polished tests this weekend

11.01.2022 Vinnie, I wish you could understand all this and really know where our hard work together has led this year. I’m hoping the carrots, licorice and all around love help with that. But humans do it in another way too. On the weekend at the 2018 Aitkens Saddlery Dressage Queensland Awards, we were awarded some trophies; -Equine Property Services Advanced Young Rider of the Year -Irene Bakels-Noreen PSG and Inter 1 Young Rider Trophy -Sandale Saddlery and Stubben Saddle Senior ...Young Rider Trophy -Crisp Emerging FEI Rider We were also awarded our Silver Rider Medal and we earned ourselves a spot again on the Arnage Warmblood Stud Queensland Young Rider Squad. And you, my awesome teammate, were a finalist in the Queensland Bred Horse of the Year! But you know the best bit Vinnie? So many of the names engraved on these trophies from years gone by (humans and horses!) are who I look up to and who have inspired and motivated me and many have helped us directly. Maybe, just maybe, reading our names one day will give another young rider the flutter in their tummy and the little boost of confidence and self-belief that I’m getting right now. That would be super cool and it makes me grateful that dedicated humans go to the effort of doing this stuff. THANKYOU Dressage Queensland and to all the sponsors of the various awards. 11.01.2022 What a week that was! Groomy and I made the trek down to Tamworth for the NSW State Dressage Championships my first interstate Open Championship competition. I am super thankful that my coach, Nicole Tough, has been preparing me so well over the last 5 years for such a big step, without me even really knowing it. A massive Small Tour class, full of talented horses and riders, but somehow, we felt like we belonged. While we were down there, all kinds of circumstances thr...eatened our ability to put our best training forward in the ring but we managed to handle the pressure and produce solid performances. I came through it feeling really good and ready to work even harder after having a glimpse of what else is out there. I’m very proud that we held our own in such a big field. Vinnie, as always, tried his little heart out and we managed to make it onto the podium (the only Young Rider to do so ), finishing in 8th place in both the PSG and the Inter I classes. We also qualified for the freestyle even if music and contact lens glitches meant it didn’t fully go to plan it’s all been amazing and more experience miles under our belt! I’ve come home super motivated to keep working even harder! But first, a few days off The road trip was comfortable (also a little eventful with two broken power chords) but the land out there is SO very dry. Please rain for the farmers soon! 10.01.2022 Just one of the little tricks we’re working on over summer

10.01.2022 Well we made it! While Dad and Groomy were holidaying it up in Hawaii, Vinnie and I travelled 16 hours in the big blue truck with Nicole, Favory and Colin early last Sunday to arrive at Willinga park on Monday afternoon. After a couple days to settle in, take in the amazing grounds and have a couple rides... Yesterday was the first day of competition! Jumping straight into a PSG at a very big CDI to start off the season was certainly no simple task to get my head around. ...Training to be competition ready in the summer was definitely a challenge! But we did it and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Vinnie gave me a great ride with a few little cobwebs to work out but also some major breakthroughs on things that we worked on over the summer. Yesterday we also passed the Trot Up (thank you so much Joel for your help in keeping Vinnies dancing shoes in tip top shape) and today we have the first test of the Young Rider Tour

09.01.2022 My next Vlog is out! Part 1 of a 2 part story about my latest competition. Part 2 will be out on Saturday . I hope you enjoy feel free to share it around and DM me with any feedback I’m on a learning curve here. https://youtu.be/9L72-el1IiA

07.01.2022 Where to start?! I owe a number of thank you’s I think. First to Nicole and Colin Tough. Nic, thank you for talking me into making this big trip to Willinga Park with you, for all your weekly help and support with my precious boy and for always being my inspiration. I found my love of Dressage though you and it’s not going anywhere. Thank you to Colin for getting our boys down there safely (and now halfway home) and for keeping my head and Nicole’s on straight. You know... your job and do it well. Thank you mum for joining us when you could to complete the support team and dad for holding down the fort at home when you could and both of you for trusting me to make this trip while you were on the other side of the world . Also, thank you to Charlotte, my brother (even if you did forget once) and my lovely boyfriend Ethan for managing to get the horses fed morning and night. Thank you Joel for all the time and care you put into Vinnies needy feet, couldn’t be here without you! Vinnie and I rode a super fun freestyle to The Greatest Showman today and absolutely loved every step of it! Just a bonus...we won the class and are coming home with CDI-Y Tour Champion. I couldn’t be prouder of my boy and he’s definitely earned a little break. Thank you Pryde's EasiFeed for sponsoring the class! It was great to have Marian and Emma join us to support, hairdress and share the highs and lows with. What an awesome adventure this has been!

06.01.2022 I figured that in the life of my horses and me, our ride would be an adventure. 16th August 2019 will be the five year anniversary of my first ever official dressage competition. And I already feel like I’ve had the adventure of my life! There have been lots of ups, downs and sideways I’ve loved them all. And I’m so excited for our ride to continue. Last weekend we competed in the Brisbane CDI. I was really happy with our work Vinnie is well and truly on top of his gam...e again following his 4 month stint out of training and I have nearly cleared all my competition riding cobwebs! In the final ride of the comp we were pipped for first place by 0.03% . motivating I was also extra, super excited to receive news from Equestrian Australia that Vinnie and I have been named as members of this year’s Equestrian Australia National Young Rider Development Squad D (Under 25)!!. Equestrian Australia says that, "The Equestrian Australia High Performance Program recognises combinations who have achieved high level performances within the previous 12-month period, as well as riders and/or combinations showing potential to represent Australia at an International level in the short to medium term. Well, I don’t know for sure where our ride is taking us, but I can say I’m having the ride of my life! Lots of people are part of our ride. My heart is full of gratitude. Extra special thanks and appreciation to Vinnie, my coach Nicole Tough, Sally George, ADCO construction, Bond uni and of course my family Bond University Bond University Sport Equestrian Australia Equestrian Queensland Nina Stone Erica Nicholson Brennan Fielding

06.01.2022 I did a thing! It’s not fabulous but it’s a start give it a watch and let me know what you think! https://youtu.be/lfN4UXKhCC4

03.01.2022 Thank you everyone for the all your caring comments Feeling blessed and very loved. Other than a sore head and stiff neck, doing quite well and have been up and about today (albeit moving a little slower than normal). Keen to get back in the saddle when the time is right

01.01.2022 URGENT SALE - price drastically reduced Perfect for an experienced rider to take over training Lily a 12yo, 15.2 chestnut mare who, after a short track caree...r, spent 8 years in a paddock. Lily has been my project for the last 12 months and the hardest part of her training is done. She has come so far and our work so rewarding. I would love to continue with her but with a change in circumstances, that’s no longer possible. She has a really solid basic dressage education (scoring 65% in Prelim 1B in November) that will stand her in good stead for many disciplines. She is in current, regular work. Originally advertised for $6K given how well she has taken to training, but now offered for $1,200 in the hope of finding Lily a new training partner asap. Videos available. See more

01.01.2022 Over the weekend Groomy and I took on the challenge of taking Moet, Vinnie and Flynn to the Brenda Wittmann Classic 2*. And what an adventure it was! A total of 4 training rides and 8 tests rides and zero errors or forgotten tests I was absolutely buzzing on our way home on Sunday night Shout out to Krystal Ford and her amazing grooming skills for joining us on Sunday to help with the 5 back to back rides Vinnie and I were staring to get our groove back in the ring. St...ill a few more things to iron out but pretty happy with 65% in the PSG and also 65% in the Inter I for 5th place and Reserve Young Rider small tour Champion. Moet was an absolute star coming away with Novice Champion and 2 scores @ 71% After a great warmup on Sunday for his first Elementary, all relaxation went out the window in the ring and things went a little down hill. After some reflecting I came into the second warmup with a new game plan and was super happy with the result! Only one little mistake but a calm horse and a much better test for 66.2% and we still ended up 5th overall for the Elementary. On Sunday it was finally Flynn’s turn in the Prelim. He was soooo excited that in the first test he wanted to show off by adding some extra canter work and even some flying changes. Again, with a slightly adjusted plan of attack for the second test I was over the moon with him scoring 72.7%. Even with the lower scoring first test we got reserve Young Rider Champion. Thank you to coach Nicole Tough for you guidance and support every step of the way especially for keeping me alive with Flynn on that first day A big weekend of lessons learned and major progress made all around. I am so happy with the path that all three horses are on and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings
