21.01.2022 Courtney Wolbers together with her class shared a global project they have been working on with classes and students across the globe: "The purpose of this student-centered project was to enable students to develop empathy, as a result of the Corona Virus pandemic. Through our discussions with the students, we quickly realised our experience in Australia was vastly different to other countries around the world. In order to gain a better understanding of those perspectives, we... reached out to educators around the world via social media. The student led questionnaire was designed to gain an insight into how the coronavirus had impacted on other peoples’ daily lives and learning, as well as any unexpected positive outcomes. 19 different countries answered the call. Through this project, you will read about the impact of the pandemic, seeing it through the eyes of students and teachers from all over the world. As a global community, this is the one time in our lifetime, where we have lived a shared experience. We hope this project becomes a historical artefact, recording an unprecedented, important moment in our time." 13.01.2022 Our Shared Story is a voice for our students, our young learners to share their story of experiencing a global pandemic, living in iso, and remote learning. We encourage teachers, educators to share their story and experience of teaching remotely, learning new skills, and discovering how to engage their students through a screen. Our story, as educators, is important too. We are changing history and the landscape of education. Find out how to share your story: https://www.oursharedstory.org.au/educators-voices

10.01.2022 There is much excitement for one's final year of Primary School - from fulfilling student leadership roles such as School Captains and House Captains, participating in Inter-School Sports and Athletics Carnivals, Graduation Ceremonies as well as all the privileges that Year Six brings. The class of 2020, particularly in Victoria, will likely spend more than half the school year in remote learning. Enjoy some beautiful collaborative artwork that the Year 5/6 students at Rolling Hills completed whilst at school in Term 2. https://youtu.be/E3zz00DyQII We would love to see more submissions - from both students and educators!
