20.01.2022 On Anzac Day 2020 the Illawarra Community in an organised and socially responsible manner will attempt to deliver a Respect Package to those who served our co...untry. Many of these amazing Australians due to their age are self-isolating and for first time in their life time will be forced to stay at home and not be involved in ANZAC Day activities. With the support of sponsors and the general community a well presented Respect package will be dropped at front doors of our diggers Illawarra wide on ANZAC day. Estimates at this stage could be 1000 drop offs The Respect packages will contain and not limited to a pack of a cooked lunch, desert, Tim Tams, Anzac Biscuits, 2 rolls of toilet paper, treats for the ladies and a Digger four pack of beer or a shandy for the ladies if appropriate. A letter of thanks will be also put in all packages thanking our veterans for what they have done for their country from The president of RSL NSW. We are be working with local RSL Sub Branches, The Vietnam Veterans, Legacy, Warrigal Care, IRT and other community organisations to make this operation possible. Working with strict social distancing. Looking for volunteers and sponsors to cover costs. If you have a Anzac family member or friend who is home this Saturday please message us their details.
