20.01.2022 [NEW] Brisbane to Townsville Road Trip The combination of warm Queensland days mixed with idyllic locations is hard to resist, and why many each year pack u...p their car or caravan to explore Queensland's coastline. The Pacific Coast Way that stretches along the coast is one of the most popular drives, and the hardest decision when planning this road trip is choosing the places to visit along the way. To make the process easier, check out the below guide that has information on 15 places between Brisbane and Townsville. Also included is practical information to help you on your journey plus an interactive map with all the named locations and lots of activities. 20.01.2022 3 YEARS ON THE ROAD This year on our travelling full time anniversary we find ourselves in far north west Qld at Lawn Hill working as the assistant managers for the Adels Grove Campground. I am not sure if we are adventurous or insane but we are here working long days in 38+ degree temps and humidity and somehow loving it. Thank goodness for the Lawn Hill Creek for swimming and air conditioning! Plus the Boodjamulla National Park down the road is second to none. Adels is o...ur home for the foreseeable future, probably well into 2021. When we left our home three years ago to travel and work around Australia one of our goals was to work in caravan park or campground and here we are, so we are going to make the most of it. (I also want to work driving a wheat harvester - maybe that'll be our next working gig ). For everyone who noticed we have only done the east coast our plan is go west to Northern Territory when we hit the road again. The west will be calling. For the last years we have love the east - from the bottom of Tasmania to the tip of Cape York. (Green line on the map is where we travelled this last 12 months. Red line is what we did in the first two years.)

19.01.2022 Krys the Savannah King . Legend says he was a wopping 8.6m long. What do you think - fact or fable?

18.01.2022 Tree Down On our way into Crater Lake National Park near Atherton to walk Lake Eacham when we got stymied by a big fallen tree. Disappointed! Just the drive in to as far as we got was stunning. Luckily the man in the van can reserve like a champion so he was able to get us out. Another time Eacham Lake!

15.01.2022 Say hello to Sweetie. Our cook's hand reared wallaby here at Adels Grove. She is cute and very cheeky.

13.01.2022 Hiya!! How is everyone? Us, we've made Adels Campground in Lawn Hill Qld our temporary home. We are now working at the campground with a great team and are loving it. Our days are busy working and playing in this amazing place. Working in 40+ degrees has taken some adjustment and complaining. It's also a 2.5 hrs drive to a supermarket .... The pay off has been the beautiful surroundings, new friends, learning about the local indigenous culture, appreciative guests and being part of positive changes and improvements coming to the campground. Also lets not forget we are making $$ for more travel .

12.01.2022 Happy Anniversary to us from Adels Grove. 17 years married today. We didn't realise it was our anniversary until about 5pm this afternoon but with a pretty dress, a shave, a hair wash, drinks and dinner cooked by the onsite bistro we managed to pull off an anniversary dinner.

12.01.2022 He sleeps while watching something about golf. I couldn't agree more.

11.01.2022 In the mornings Chika and I take a stroll through the Grove here at Adels before I start work for the day. Such a pleasant place to be even in the humidity.
