24.01.2022 Lakes Grammar Adventurous Journey 19-20 Nov 2020 Warm conditions for adventure instructors Peter Vaughan and Mark Fitzsimmons in Berowra Valley with teachers and students from Lakes Grammar. The journey was a mix of hiking and kayaking with students having to navigate along tracks and o g Berowra Creek and tributaries.... A great campsite with a sandy beach for cooling off at the end of day was appreciated and everyone had to stay cool and hydrated on day 2 with temps getting into the high 30's. All finished safe and will have good memories of exploring in the bush and travelling and camping together.

20.01.2022 Snowy Hiking Day 4 A morning walk up the hill behind our chalets had some of us being coated in light snow and more had covered the Main Range overnight. The local roos and wallabies didn't seem to mind and we still had good views out over the township of Jindabyne and the lake. We decided to head up to Charlottes Pass after lunch to check on conditions and enjoyed the Snowgums boardwalk where we got a great picture of our group for the week. Still very windy and cold so we r...etreated down the mountain a little. The Pallaibo Track is 6.6km long and was a pleasant walk following Sawpit Creek down through some interesting forest to the Thredbo River where we loaded up and headed back to our chalets. The italian restaurant Bacco in Jindabyne was where we all shared our final meal as a group and it was a night of good food, stories and laughter...a fitting end to a great week of adventure!
15.01.2022 Gap Ck Abseil and Canyoning 28 Nov 2020 Hot day in the forest working with Katrina Croquett and group for Women Embrace Adventure. Plenty of challenge and fun and the water was quite refreshing though low flow in the creek at present. As usual, the rainforest was amazing and a great place to be on a hot day with plenty of big tadpoles and a few freshwater crayfish in the deeper rockpools.... Planning on taking more people to this area over year end so keep an eye on our facebook page for coming events.
12.01.2022 Adventurous Journey Kayak trip 21-23Dec 2020 Enjoyable paddling but mixed weather for six paddlers and adventure guide Peter Vaughan on the Lower Hawkesbury earlier this week. Managed to shelter from the heavy and constant rain on Monday night in a remote campsite on Patonga Creek before paddling south and west to camp at another beautiful campsite near Jerusem Bay. Lots of sightings of white bellied sea eagles, whistling kites and big jellyfish drifting on the tide and the w...eather on day 3 was clear and sunny. Everyone especially enjoyed the rest break/explore time at Refuge Bay where quite a few family groups enjoyed the beach and waterfall from their houseboats and cruisers. The tide and wind pushed us north to finish back at Parsley Bay boat ramp before the southerly turned the water to a mass of whitecaps which would have made things very difficult had we still been paddling. Congrats to all on a well planned and executed adventure!

06.01.2022 Snowy Mts Hike week Nov 1-6'20 Great trip down on Sunday and everyone happy with our chalet accomodation outside Jindabyne where we have views across the lake. Big walking day yesterday to Kosi with group having to pass through 4 snowdrifts..especially exciting for Gelicia who had never seen snow before. After lunch and photos on the summit, 7 of our group of 9 travelled back through the Ramsheads and same some amazing scenery. Unfortunately missed final chairlift down and ha...d the long descent down to Thredbo Village with group finishing at 6.30pm...great conditions and awesome experience. Day 2 was a mart start for the river ealk from Thredbo to Dead Horse Gap Pleasant lunch break in meadow next to river and again great walking conditions with a light breeze throughout. Coffee and a muffin at Crackenback Resort before return to Jindabyne and hot showers to soothe the aches and pains. See more
06.01.2022 Abseiling at Glenrock 3Jan 2021 Finally a break in the weather for 3 newbie abseilers and adventure guide Peter Vaughan this morning. Damp conditions underfoot but everyone stayed safe on cliff tops and during descents as we worked up the skill levels on 4 different rock pitches with our final descent of 20m being enjoyed by all jncluding some spectators across the creek walking on the Great North Walk.... Everyone happy to be outdoors after the recent spate of wet and drizzly days over the past week and plenty of others walking on some of the tracks in Glenrock Conservation Area. Expect we will see these adventurers back for some action in the future on some higher sections of cliff in the Watagans. Check out our website in the next few days for new events coming up in January and February 2021. www.outandaboutadventures.com.au

Awesome conditions and a strong breeze on the ecposed ridge crests but peaceful and calm umch spot on crown of Mt Northcott. Trip back down in meadows mart to a tricky crossing of Snowy River before joing the Summit Road gor the final.2km back to the va...missing the rain by 3 minutes...a memorable day!
