23.01.2022 After what has been one of the most tumultuous weeks in Outback Barbers history, I have decided to temporarily close the doors. These are very unpredictable times and I’m not sure when I will re-open, but one thing is for certain... There will be a LOT of hairy, bushy, untidy blokes out there lining up for a haircut. We, as a team, will be there with scissors blazing. I would like to thank all of my loyal clients for the ongoing support over the years. I would also li...ke to thank my landlord, Gary Turner, for freezing my rent during this time. (Turners Home Appliances are still open for business). 23.01.2022 Great place to work and Great hair cuts.

22.01.2022 Well, now that I have a bit of time on my hands, I decided to volunteer at Meals on Wheels in Cairns. Today, was my first day in the kitchen. Normally, I just sit in on the meetings as a committee member. Phew!!! I have a new respect for chefs and kitchen staff. Apparently, the week leading up to Good Friday and Easter weekend is the busiest time. Holy Moly! I was thrown in the deep end. I enjoyed it so much I’m going back again tomorrow. 12.01.2022 Thankfully, there are still people out there to restore your faith in humanity. A young gentleman, (who wants to remain anonymous), came in for a haircut. Before he left, he paid for the next gent’s haircut, a pensioner. The older man was touched and told me he would pay it forward. This put a smile on everyone’s face. So lovely.
