24.01.2022 This Patrol has a 302 Windsor buried in the engine bay, run via a Haltech Sprint 500 ECU. Pretty average initial run with 93.8kw. Mixtures were as low as 0.75 ...lambda and the base timing was actually 10 degrees out. After re-tuning the 5lt though we saw a peak of 111.3kw with a gain of 40kw in the top end! Factory RD28 airbox & intake choking up the already asthmatic V8, removing the airbox lid gave a 10kw gain in itself. 12.01.2022 A bit late posting, but we picked ourself up a bit of a project late last year and tackled some repairs over the Christmas break. Its a HJ75 Trakka camper conversion, we purchased it from the auctions at a great price, it had been driven into a ditch, bent the front diff housing and punching the back of the transfer case out. Obviously things got a bit messy and bent under there so just about everything had to be replaced! We started from scratch with the factory strengthened diff housing and fitted the front end out with some Terrain Tamer 4WD goodies, including the new HD wheel bearing + seal kits, upgraded brake rotors + pads, suspension and any steering components that were damaged. 09.01.2022 This 79 series was tuned elsewhere, on a stock clutch, with boost about 6 psi over whats deemed safe (in relation to turbine speed) for the stock turbo.... *Ins...ert Charlie Murphy meme... 03.01.2022 Not sure what was cooler.. the LS1 swap, the 37" tyres or the Red Winch with its 120mm2 cabling that has more power than some 4cyl petrol engines? Just a stock ...manual LS1 with the usual exhaust / intake for the conversion. The Patrol arrived making only 126kw although after a tune we managed 151kw through those huge wheels. 02.01.2022 Another Turbo TB Patrol, this ones a 4.2 GQ Comp truck running a Nistune Developments Type 2 board, actually a highER comp & cammed N/A Motor with a turbo setup... added so ended up going with E85 to keep parts inside the block where they belong. 01.01.2022 This 2004 Range Rover TD6 already had a 'mail order' tune on it. The BMW M57 Turbo diesel engine arrived with 99kw / 557nm, so it was time for RE-remap. With a ...final figure of 117kw / 673nm @ all wheels i'd say the 116nm gain was worth it! 01.01.2022 Our 6x6 had a crook alternator when we picked it up, so that was the first thing to be replaced. We replaced the factory alternator with a Terrain Tamer 4WD fully sealed unit, specifically made for cruisers that will see extreme conditions, and those in the mines. The kit comes with all the necessary hoses to plumb the alternator into the factory airbox, as well as an external breather.
