13.01.2022 Some tables underway for our daytime cafe Sky Dome Cafe and for the all important evening dinner events. Last night's Moonlit Sizzle attracted a cosy group on our sky dome verandah using our 'temporary' glass top tables and cast iron chairs that are a little cold for any caboose! In future events, these outdoor picnic sets will be far more comfortable, endurable and easier to maintain and clean.

09.01.2022 CANCELLED TONIGHT Too much rain here. Too cloudy later. Maybe see the images of others online as posted.... Look out for some live streams of the event. Bad luck #BrokenHill.

08.01.2022 Sadly the weather is not cooperating with us in #BrokenHill. Be prepared for us to cancel the viewing of planets Jupiter and Saturn tomorrow, Monday, 21 December 2020. We will post a final update for you early in the afternoon (closer to actual weather conditions).... At this stage, forecast clouds will block the view and unfortunately, the planets will set quite early in the evening - we have little room to move. If you see this post, please share the posting to your friends to keep them informed. Next posting by 2pm local time. Best not to plan to be visiting us until you read the 2pm posting for the Go/No Go decision. Thank you. The image of Jupiter is courtesy of Hubble Space Telescope. The image of Saturn is courtesy of the Cassini space mission. Cross fingers and toes so that the cloud goes! #LoveNSW #NewSouthWales #NSWRoadTrips

07.01.2022 New tables almost ready. Painting to be finished in coming months after timber dries. Note that Sky Dome Cafe is closed tomorrow due to wicked hot, windy conditions.

07.01.2022 The sky dome (our stargazing site) is now underwater. Let's see if it can dry out in time for our next event ... tomorrow night! Thankfully we get heavy rain like this maybe once in 5 years. The Sky Dome Cafe is also getting drenched outside and in ... finding leaks in the old building

04.01.2022 Note the changes to Sky Dome Cafe trading on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

02.01.2022 Homemade pasties at the Sky Dome Cafe tomorrow, 11am to 4pm. Please book in advance if planning to eat in.

01.01.2022 The grey sky over us will soon give way to a crystal clear evening sky on Wednesday 12 August 2020. This is certainly a great place to shine like the stars... We have had lovely rain during the last week and the sky dome has been naturally compacted once more.... If you are planning to visit #BrokenHill for a break in the coming months we'd love to welcome you. Plan ahead, check out our calendar on our website and book in advance. Our sky shows have been thinned out to cope with the covid routines, and they fill fast. We attempt to reschedule you if your evening is clouded out, or you receive a full refund if we must cancel or if you have to move on. #LoveNSW #NewSouthWales #lovenswfromhome #HolidayHereThisYear #buyfromthebush #spendwiththem #buyregional
