24.01.2022 Good Morning Everyone. Kingoonya sunrise

24.01.2022 Aerial shot of Kingoonya Caravan Park, Thank you to the drone man!

22.01.2022 Tried to catch a ferral cat, but got a sleepy lizard instead!! Gave him some water, flat out like a lizard drinking, ha ha, then away he went. Another day in Kingoonya!

21.01.2022 Getting the floor back in the old Kingoonya shop at the Caravan Park. It was originally the Kingoonya school building and was relocated when the school closed. Amazing what you find under the wall lining!

20.01.2022 What a lovely surprise to get more rain than we expected... Yesterday we could count the drops, but then she started late last night. Going by my barrow gauge might have nearly got an inch

19.01.2022 Kingoonyas Prevention....!!!!

19.01.2022 Found some more lessons underneath the lining of the Kingoonya Caravan park shop (the original school building) and now completely uncovered the other one with the cat. Will definitely preserve these for display when we reopen the shop. As with the alphabet that will be fully exposed soon. Wonder if anyone remembers these?

17.01.2022 Just a bit of sunbaking .....

10.01.2022 Hi all! Weve been giving the BBQ area a spruce up we now have a great chunky table made from local fence posts and jarrah top (planks kindly given from our mate Steve) and now a railway plate firepit both handcrafted by my talented man Sonny. Fresh gravel spread out too. Hope your all well, safe travels, hope to see you soon

10.01.2022 Yesterday I was treated to a heap of beautiful butterflies as I walked past the "blue tree" in the caravan park. I must have started them as they all flew off the tree then they resettled. There would have been about 30 or more. Love how nature gives us these special moments

09.01.2022 Working on our logo. Thank you Greg

09.01.2022 Hi All! Just letting everyone know that all roads in and out of Kingoonya are closed to all traffic. We will keep you posted when there are any changes....... We had 35mm so far

08.01.2022 Like to say a Huge Thankyou to Ryan, Booga and Isla for helping me build the pallet and miniorb tin wind shelter, and Sonny who timed it well with digging the last fencepost in. Also Huge Thankyou to Rolly and Prue with helping with the undercoat painting on the rooms.

08.01.2022 Hi all, It is with great sadness that we have had to make the difficult decision to temporally close our Caravan Park due to current restrictions around non-essential travel and in response to SA Health guidelines. Although we would have liked to remain open for essential travel (that has been really non existant), we simply do not have the adequate required facilities to safely accommodate for essential travel. On advise from other SA industry operators and with SA Health gu...idelines to stop the spread of Coronavirus; - camper trailers, rooftop tents and the like are not permitted -camp kitchens are closed -shared toilet and shower facilities are not permitted Quite simply we do not have fully self contained cabins available as recommended, If you happen to be travelling through to get home or for essential work travel the self serve fuel facility is still open. Please use the supplied commercial grade disinfectant spray and paper towels to use on the pump handles, the keypad before and after use to help stop the spread of coronavirus. We are really mindful to help ensure the health and safety of others, ourselves our small outback community and extended community. We THANKYOU for all your support and look forward to seeing you all when this is over and everyone can get back on the road again. We will keep you posted with updates and when we reopen. PLEASE Stay Safe and be kind to yourself and others in these challenging times. Kindest Regards Leesa "Redcloud" and Sonny

07.01.2022 Wishing you all a Happy Easter Thank you for all your support and encouragement We wish you all well and look forward to seeing you all when we can. Take care and Stay safe Kindest Regards... Leesa and Sonny See more
