17.01.2022 There's a lot of talk out there about the 'post-Covid recovery'. McKinsey have looked at lessons learnt post war and the application of those lessons to recover from Covid. "There was no postwar miracle; the actions that forged recovery were all human made. Good policies, political commitment, and hard work made it happen."... Well worth the read.

15.01.2022 "Cognitive Biases that Make Us Terrible People".... I very much enjoy people who don't try to fit into the super politically correct management-speak that pervades articles on human behaviour. Mark Manson, author, writes well-researched articles on his observations of human behaviour which are actually very informative and enlightening. If you can get past the swearing, he's also quite funny and uses descriptors you'd never consider using in a serious article. "I know what yo...u’re thinking. You’re thinking, How are there so many idiots in the world who can’t seem to see what is right in front of them? You’re thinking, Why do *I* seem to be blessed (or cursed) with the ability to see truth through a torrential downpour of bullshit? You’re thinking What can I do to make people understand? How can I make them see what I see? Enter BIAS. So, if you have 20 minutes over a coffee, this is worth the read and reflection time (always reflect otherwise the reading is pointless). #staycurious #checkyourbiases #reflect See more

10.01.2022 Posting this because we love the beauty and splendour of natural things, even if they're 2,000,000 light years away. Worth having a look and a read over a coffee. https://www.bbc.com/news/in-pictures-54105085

05.01.2022 I refuse to believe that we are insignificant and I've always been a strong believer in the power of community. You don't need to give up all your worldly possessions and live under a tree to have an impact or make a statement. A few small but thoughtful actions can have an incredible ripple effect. This is an inspiring little article on the impact of 'tiny, meaningful actions'. ... Just take action. #smallthingscount

02.01.2022 This is an excellent article by McKinsey looking at the future of work. A long read, but as always, well researched and written. A global view on travel, retail, workplace design, and the rise of the entrepreneur and what this means moving forward. Worth reading over a coffee.
