24.01.2022 The lovely one enjoying the camp fire at Warren Gorge near Quorn in the Flinders Ranges in outback South Australia.

19.01.2022 Sleeping in while on holiday on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia.

16.01.2022 Devils Gullet State Reserve, Central Plateau, Mole Creek, Tasmania, Australia. View from the suspended lookout of the bushfire ravaged dolerite cliffs of Devils Gullet on the Central Plateau, south of Mole Creek in northern Tasmania. This area is part of the Tasmania Wilderness World Heritage Area. It was freezing cold up here and the windblown strongly up the cliff face and through the metal grating of the floor of the lookout - not the right place to be wearing shorts!

15.01.2022 A crested tern (Thalasseus bergii) taking off on the beach at Stansbury on the Yorke Peninsula in the Yorke and Mid North Region of South Australia.

12.01.2022 Australian pelicans (Peleicanus conspicillatus) are relatively easy birds to photograph and I need all the help I can get. They are large, slow moving and don't mind humans too much especially if there is a chance of a free titbit at the fish cleaning shed. This photo was taken at fish cleaning time at Stansbury Caravan Park on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. Check out David's photos at www.davidfosterphotos.com

05.01.2022 Just waiting! Another Australian pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus) at Stansbury on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia.

04.01.2022 Another Australian pelican (Pelicanus conspicillatus) waiting for a free meal at the fish cleaning shed at Stansbury Caravan Park on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. Most of the shallow beaches on the Yorke Peninsula are popular with fishing people. Many also go crabbing with a long wide tined fork in the shallow waters. This results in lots of easy meals for the pelicans and gulls.

02.01.2022 Something a little different. Galahs (Cacatua roseicapilla) at a water trough near the abandoned village of Hookina near Hawker in the Flinders Ranges in the outback of South Australia. www.davidfosterphotos.com

01.01.2022 Australian pelicans (Pelecanusconspicillatus) in the early morning at Stansbury caravan park on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia. www.davidfosterphotos.com
