23.01.2022 With the arrival of our last coach back in Albury, we bid farewell to the 2019 tour season. This vehicle, one of two new Mercedes Benz coaches for this year, has just returned from our 12 day Tasmanian Wilderness Explorer adventure. After washing, cleaning and a full mechanical check, she will be tucked away at our Albury home-base ready to hit the road again in 2020 for a new year of outback adventures.

19.01.2022 Spirit Aviation, a branch of Outback Spirit, has its trusty Cessna 210 back in the sky after a big refurbishment . Sporting a new engine, new interior and new paint job - shes in mint condition and flies like a dream! This aircraft transports staff to our network of safari camps. Here she is pictured next to her big brother, our Cessna Grand Caravan EX, which transfers our guests on selected Arnhem Land & Kimberley tours.

16.01.2022 At Outback Spirit's Arnhem Land Barramundi Lodge, the fish are biting! The first one metre Barra was caught last weekend by angler, Maria Gomez. She arrived at the Lodge at 9.30am and by 10.30am she had hooked the big one. Anyone who catches a Barra over one metre earns huge kudos and goes onto our Barra Lodge leader board...complete with an engraved plaque. PS: all fish caught are released after having their photo taken.

13.01.2022 Wow! This is stunning footage just released by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy of the floodwaters transforming the Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre basin. As an outback tour operator, we rely on the natural environment. As such were big believers in supporting organisations such as the AWC that actively protect Australias threatened wildlife and ecosystems. 09.01.2022 The Karijini National Park is famous for its beautiful red gorges, waterfalls and natural swimming holes. Deep in the heart of this magnificent natural wonderland are the cool, clean waters of Fern Pool. Our Pilbara & West Coast Expeditions run from late April to September. 06.01.2022 As floodwaters from the 1st deluge continue pouring into Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre, the Eyre Creek and Diamantina River are still battling it out in their race to Goyder Lagoon. Once they arrive, theyll join forces to create a second pulse of water down the Warburton Creek, flowing past Kalamurina Wildlife Sanctuary before spilling into Lake Eyre. 03.01.2022 Our new safari camp at Pungalina Wildlife Sanctuary in the Gulf of Carpentaria is nearly complete! Its been an epic project with all materials carted along the remote Savannah Way.
