25.01.2022 The @campfire.australia grill combo turns your fire into a kitchen. I had the opportunity to try one of these out recently and as someone who enjoys cooking on a fire this grill is brilliant. It opens up so many cooking opportunities while out bush.

23.01.2022 It has been good to get away and enjoy a bit of beach time. If you have never been to @fitzroyisland then do yourself a favour and put it on the list. Apart from the magnificently blue water and reefs right on thy beach there are also some amazing walking tracks the end in breath taking views.

21.01.2022 Everyone had a great day yesterday as the FNQ 4wd club had their first official #2in2out clean up day. We hit some local beaches and collected a surprising amount of rubbish, some interesting, some disgusting and some that were dangerous for the community. I want to say a big thank you to Mrbuckaroonie for coming up and supplying the drifta respect the bush bags. Also a big thank you to the days sponsors LOW4 Off Road who shouted us abbq lunch. Having the support from such business's who share our love for the bush goes a long way in keeping this campaign going. If anyone knows of any 4wd tracks or camp sites that need cleaning up or fixing up up here in FNQ add them into the comments because we will be continuing this campaign and if you want to come along and lend a hand everyone is welcome.

20.01.2022 One of my most favourite places in the world is the Palmer River/Maytown region. It's a places that calls to me and it was an absurd pleasure to have the opportunity to show @ryanbiggsy around some of the places, even if it was cut short due to mechanical issues.

13.01.2022 Happy Friday legends, who is heading bush this weekend? Where are you off to?

12.01.2022 Gurrumbah a small mining town in Far North Queensland. One of many that only existed for a few short years. Originally a Cobb and Co coach change named Melaneys Pocket until gold and tin was found on nearby Mount Luxton in 1896. This little town that came into existence due to the large deposits of mineral only ever had a small population of some 200 people was able to support three hotels. One of those being the Mining Exchange hotel. I believe this is the kitchen area ( pictured) of that hotel, the only real remaining tell tale that the town ever existed beside the odd relic strewn around the place.

07.01.2022 There is nothing better then exploring with your family. It's even better when you can get the generations out exploring together. My old man has always been a good time model in terms of getting out and enjoying the bush and he also has exceptional knowledge of history in a lot of regions so it's like you always have a tour guide with you. It's great to see him passing that enjoyment and knowledge into my young son early.

06.01.2022 Maytown, a once bustling hub of the Palmer river goldfield is now nothing more then a remnant of a bygone error of the largest gold rush in Queensland's history. Maytown, amongst a small number of other towns in the region supported in excess of 16000 people in its prime. The last remaining occupants left in 1965 when the post office (the last remaining building) was removed. This building was built in 1874. If you come here and look closely you will see the remains of what was once an incredible town that would have had an amazing story to tell.

06.01.2022 The Coolgarra Battery construction was commenced in 1896 by John Moffats Irvinebank Tin Company and was completed in 1901. A modern plant for its time this battery serviced the the local Tin field around Coolgarra and Silver Valley areas. It operated until 1910 when it was dismantled leaving this magnificently built chimney as a reminder of a bygone era. One of only two remaining chimneys in the area, this bad boy is hard to find unless you know where to look, hence the reason why is still in pretty good shape.

04.01.2022 Driving through the Palmerston highway on our way home we spotted a Cassowary on the side of the road. He was kind enough to let me take a few shots. It's not often you get the pleasure of seeing these majestic creatures in the wild. On a side note I am impressed with the performance of the new camera the #nikonz6 in low light.
