The Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) has issued a warning for taxpayers to stay safe during tax-time from the scammers impersonating trusted brands like myGov or the ATO which trick people into giving them money or personal details. These scams can come through as emails, text messages and fake myGov login pages. Usually these scams will say that a taxpayer is entitled to a tax refund or that they need to pay a debt. 20.01.2022 Good news! This week the government announced that the Instant Asset Write-off has been extended for six months, taking the initiative to 31 December 2020. Australian businesses with less than $500 million annual turnover will be able to take advantage of the write-off and invest in assets to support their business. 11.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS !! It's a hot topic but here are some quick checks to keep everyone safe and help eliminate the spread.

11.01.2022 JobKeeper 2.0 - a snap shot of the changes coming..... From 28 September 2020 to 3 January 2021, the JobKeeper Payment rates will be: * $1,200 per fortnight for all eligible employees who, in the four ... weeks of pay periods before 1 March 2020, were working in the business or not-for-profit for 20 hours or more a week on average, and for eligible business participants who were actively engaged in the business for 20 hours or more per week on average in the month of February 2020; and * $750 per fortnight for other eligible employees and business participants. From 4 January 2021 to 28 March 2021, the JobKeeper Payment rates will be: * $1,000 per fortnight for all eligible employees who, on the four weeks of pay periods before 1 March 2020, were working in the business or not-for-profit for 20 hours or more a week on average and for business participants who were actively engaged in the business for 20 hours or more per week in average in the month of February 2020; and * $650 per fortnight for other eligible employees and business participants.
