Had the pleasure of a big gt casting poppers out of my kayak using believe it or not a shimano t curve deep jig 400 rod and torium 16 reel.... had an est 20kg GT inhale the eupro popper almost at the rod tip.... phenomenal battle.. i wont use snap clips on lures ever again !

06.01.2022 Hit the FAD (fish attracting device )off Port Hacking early Sunday morning.. We were the second boat there.. Awesome ride out in the last of the moonlight 15miles out to sea... Phenomenal sunrise upon arrival. Not a bad effort from my centre console 4m hornet with a 25 on it ? Jigged up a slab sided Dolly 80cm, then we caught a few fish in the 60cm class on fly.Found some big jackets out there on the bottom.. we got bored catching little dollies.. Got into the frigates by the dozen off oak park on fly... i only had my 12 weight! Salmon (kahawai) and tailor made a guest appearance too. Great fun on casper flys and my clouser style deceivers
