05.01.2022 This trio was the very first batch of Chrissie ornaments we made in 2016 our colorful cockatoo trio - our ornaments are sustainably made and we have a lifecycle analysis on our website - to start we use natural or recyclable materials for our products purchased from local sources ... for our ornaments a local wood cutter uses poplar ply which is a sustainable material in part for its easy cultivation which began in Australia for making matches ... Poplar is above all an env...ironmentally friendly choice for us as it: purifies air, purifies water, improves biodiversity and conserves the environment and cultivations are managed through strict environmental standards. They are also often located next to their production sites which reduce emissions from transport exhaust. Poplar is also an excellent biofuel, so the entire tree is used in the process, meaning there is no production waste. We hand-stain, seal and sand the surface for preparation then hand-paint each one before finishing with jute twine and a paper tag. #aussiechristmas #madeinsydney #sydney See more
